✨ Glitz Four

Nothing on the desk shines brighter, or runs faster

There's a point at which a PC stops being a tool on the desk and becomes the thing people ask about when they walk in. Glitz Four is well past it. An infinity mirror front that seems to fall away into the glass, two lit fans cut straight through it, a 240mm liquid cooler in the roof, and every light in the machine moving together.

And it's every bit as fast as it looks. An RTX 5080 with 16GB of GDDR7 and AMD's Ryzen 7 9800X3D with 96MB of 3D V-Cache, backed by 32GB of DDR5 and a 1TB TLC drive. That's 4K with ray tracing left on, and frame rates at 1440p that most monitors can't keep up with.

The top of the series, for the desk where the PC is the point.

🧬 Built to last, designed to evolve

This system is built on AMD's modern AM5 platform, which offers one of the best CPU upgrade paths available today. That means you can start with a great processor now and still have room to move up the stack later, while keeping the same motherboard, case, power supply and most of your core components. GPU, storage and cooling are all easily upgradable so the system can grow with your needs over time.

📃 Specifications

  • 🧠 CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D
Click or tap for deeper spec info
    • 8 cores, 16 threads of Zen 5, boosting to 5.2GHz, with 96MB of L3 cache thanks to second-generation 3D V-Cache. 120W TDP, and boost carries it above that with every core loaded, which the 240mm radiator absorbs comfortably
    • One of the very fastest gaming processors made, and in the games that respond to cache, the difference is not subtle. Large open worlds, simulation titles, heavily modded games and competitive shooters at very high refresh rates all lean on exactly what this chip does best
    • The second-generation cache is the important change, and it is a physical one. On the 7800X3D the stacked cache sits above the cores, which is why AMD lock that chip's multiplier to protect it. On the 9800X3D the cache sits underneath, so the cores are directly against the heat spreader and the processor is fully unlocked. It runs cooler under the same load and it can genuinely be overclocked, which makes the Ultimate Performance Tune worth considerably more here than a tier down
    • Socket AM5, so there is an upgrade path from here even at the top of the range
  • ❄️ CPU cooler: Thermalright Aqua Elite V6 240mm ARGB, AIO liquid cooler, black
Click or tap for deeper spec info
    • A 277 × 120 × 27mm aluminium radiator mounted in the roof as exhaust, so the processor's heat leaves the case directly rather than being pushed around inside it
    • Two 120mm ARGB PWM fans running to 2000rpm, and a PWM pump to 2800rpm, both on curves set by hand rather than left on a default
    • The 9800X3D draws more than a 7800X3D under a full load, and a 240mm radiator still has it comfortably in hand. In a normal gaming session it runs well below its ceiling, which is what keeps the fans slow
    • ARGB on the pump block and both fans, synced with the rest of the lighting. Three years of warranty from Thermalright alongside our own
    • A 360mm radiator upgrade is available if you want the absolute maximum headroom, and the case takes one in the roof. See the upgrade options below
  • 🔲 Motherboard: ASRock B850M Pro-A WiFi (micro-ATX)
Click or tap for deeper spec info
    • PCIe 5.0 x16 for the graphics card, in a steel-reinforced slot. A card this heavy deserves a reinforced slot, and with the case's anti-sag bracket under it as well, it is properly supported
    • 8+2+1 Dr.MOS power design. Plain English translation: comfortably more power delivery than a 9800X3D asks for, including when it is overclocked. ASRock do not publish an amperage figure for these power stages and we are not going to invent one
    • Four DDR5 slots supporting up to 256GB. Two are used here, so going to 64GB later means adding a pair rather than replacing what you have
    • Three M.2 slots: one PCIe 5.0 x4 and two PCIe 4.0 x4. Only one is used. Filling the second processor-connected M.2 disables the secondary PCIe x4 slot, which will not affect most people but is the sort of thing we would rather you heard from us
    • Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 built in, aerial supplied. 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet
    • Rear I/O includes a 10Gbps USB-C and a 10Gbps USB-A alongside six more ports, plus HDMI and DisplayPort. A 5Gbps USB-C header runs the case's front USB-C port. Realtek ALC897 audio, four SATA ports
    • BIOS Flashback and diagnostic LEDs, plus the addressable lighting headers that run the fans, the cooler and the case front
    • This is an economical board by design and it is the right one for this build. If you want Wi-Fi 7 and USB4, the X870 upgrade is in the options below
    • PC36 only uses motherboards chosen for stability and longevity. See our Trusted brands page
  • 📏 Memory / RAM: 32GB (2×16GB) DDR5-6000 CL36
Click or tap for deeper spec info
    • A matched pair running dual channel at DDR5-6000 CL36 on its EXPO profile, which is the speed AM5 processors are happiest at
    • 32GB is what stops you thinking about memory. A game, a browser with too many tabs, Discord and a capture can all run together without anything having to give
    • Worth saying, because much of the market has gone the other way: as memory prices have climbed, a lot of machines at this price have quietly dropped to 16GB, or to slower DDR5-4800 and 5600 kits. We would rather put the money here
    • Two of the four slots are free, so 64GB later is an addition rather than a replacement
    • Specification guaranteed, model may vary. Happy to confirm the exact part on request
  • 💾 Storage: 1TB NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD (TLC)
Click or tap for deeper spec info
    • TLC flash rated at 6,500MB/s or better, which holds its speed through long sustained writes rather than dropping off once a cache fills. On the top tier of the series we do not fit QLC drives
    • Higher write endurance than the QLC drives lower in the series, which matters if you capture at 4K, edit video, or install and uninstall a lot
    • Two further M.2 slots stay free, one of them PCIe 5.0, so adding storage later is straightforward and does not mean replacing anything
    • Specification guaranteed, model may vary. Happy to confirm the exact part on request
  • 🎮 Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 16GB (shipped separately for safety, see below)
Click or tap for deeper spec info
    • This is a bulky and valuable graphics card, and as such it will be shipped separately with instructions for you to install it upon receipt
    • To be clear about what that means: the card is fitted into this exact system, stress tested in it, and only then carefully removed and boxed for transit. Your machine is built and validated as a whole. We do not drop-ship graphics cards or send you parts to assemble
    • Blackwell, 16GB of GDDR7 on a 256-bit bus. A 4K card in the proper sense, and far more than any 1440p monitor will ever ask of it
    • DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation. Transformer-model upscaling is a real visual step up from the older model, and on a card this fast it is what turns 4K from playable into effortless. Heavy ray tracing at 4K is comfortable here
    • Dual NVENC encoders. If you stream or record seriously, NVENC is what most streaming software is built around, and having two of them means recording and streaming at once without either suffering. AV1 supported for encode and decode
    • Around 360W under load over a single 12V-2x6 connector, fed by a native cable from the power supply rather than an adapter. The case takes cards up to 400mm, so we are never squeezing one in
    • The chipset and VRAM are guaranteed: it will always be an RTX 5080 with 16GB. The AIB brand varies with availability, and we only use established manufacturers. See our Trusted brands page for more info
  • 🧰 Case: Lian Li Vector V150 INF, Black (micro-ATX)
Click or tap for deeper spec info
    • 470 × 221.5 × 443.9mm on the outside, around 46 litres, in steel and 4mm tempered glass
    • The front panel is the reason this series exists. An infinity mirror built into tempered glass, with precision cut-outs machined through it for the two 140mm intake fans and removable mesh dust filters behind them. The fans carry infinity-mirror hubs of their own, so the effect reads as one piece rather than as a lit panel with two holes in it. Switched off, it is a dark mirror. Switched on, the light seems to fall away into the glass
    • Being accurate about airflow: this is a glass front with machined, filtered intakes rather than a full mesh face. That is a great deal more open than the solid glass fronts most mirror cases use, and with the fans drawing straight across the graphics card it keeps everything in this series comfortably cool
    • Micro-ATX and Mini-ITX, with 5 expansion slots and support for back-connect boards. Graphics cards up to 400mm and CPU coolers up to 163.5mm. Radiators up to 360mm in the roof
    • Front I/O is two USB 3.2 Type-A, a USB-C port and a combined audio jack. An adjustable anti-sag bracket for the graphics card comes fitted as standard
  • 🌬️ Case cooling: 2 × 140mm ARGB front intake and 1 × 120mm ARGB rear exhaust, plus the cooler's two 120mm ARGB fans in the roof
Click or tap for deeper spec info
    • The two 140mm front fans and the 120mm rear exhaust come with the case. All three are PWM and ARGB, and the front pair carry the infinity-mirror hubs that continue the front panel's effect
    • The airflow path is deliberate. Cool air comes in through the mirrored front straight onto the graphics card, which is the part making most of the heat, and leaves through the radiator in the roof and the exhaust at the back
    • Mounts for two more 120mm fans in the side and two in the base, so there is room to add airflow later
    • Everything lights from the motherboard, so the fans, the front panel and the rest of the machine move as one piece. Fan curves set by hand before dispatch and verified through our standard stress testing rather than assumed
  • ⚡ Power supply: Montech Century II 850W 80+ Gold, fully modular
Click or tap for deeper spec info
    • 850W against a build that draws around 520W under a heavy gaming load. Comfortable headroom for the 5080 and the 9800X3D, including when both are tuned
    • Fully modular and 80 PLUS Gold, so only the cables this build uses are fitted, which matters behind two panes of glass
    • ATX 3.1 certified with a native 12V-2x6 cable, so the graphics card plugs straight in with no adapter in the loop
    • A 1000W Gold upgrade is available if you are planning a considerably more power-hungry graphics card later. See the upgrade options below
  • 🔌 Cabling: Black cabling, routed and tied
Click or tap for deeper spec info
    • Black cables throughout, routed behind the motherboard tray and tied down, with the excess folded under the power supply shroud where the glass does not reach
    • Nothing crosses the front intake path or the graphics card's own fans
    • With glass on the front and the side, the cable runs are part of what you are looking at. Braided extensions in a colour of your choice are available from the quick-add upgrades
  • 📶 WiFi / Bluetooth / Ethernet: Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2 and 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet, included
Click or tap for deeper spec info
    • Built into the ASRock B850M Pro-A WiFi. No separate adapter needed, and the aerial is supplied in the box
    • Wi-Fi 6E adds the 6GHz band, which is usually far less congested than 2.4 and 5GHz if your router supports it
    • 2.5 Gigabit wired Ethernet, which we'd still recommend over wireless for competitive play. Where the extra bandwidth earns its place is moving large files to a NAS or another machine on your network
  • 🪟 Operating system: As chosen by you from the listing options below. Windows 11 Home (OEM) is recommended.
  • 🧹 Setup and optimisation: PC36 High-Class Standard. Full stress test with certificate, bloat-free installation, and BIOS set up properly
Click or tap for deeper spec info

PC36 High-Class Standard, included free with every build

    • Ready the moment you open the box. Your PC boots straight into Windows with a local account already set up. No account sign-in wall, no first-run questionnaire, no half-hour of setup before you can use the machine you just bought
    • BIOS updated and configured properly: manual fan and pump curves, PBO enabled, EXPO enabled, Secure Boot enabled
    • Vanilla Windows 11 installation if you choose Windows, with no bloatware added by us, and all drivers loaded and ready to go
    • Full stress test with certificate. Every system is torture tested on CPU, RAM and GPU before dispatch, and ships with the certificate to prove it

PC36 Premier Optimisation, available in the listing options

    • CPU tuning to bring thermals and noise down with minimal performance loss, a deeper strip and debloat of Windows, and all five fans and the pump balanced by hand for the quietest operation the machine will hold
    • Worth taking. A 360W card in a 46 litre case rewards a hand-built fan profile, and the 9800X3D responds well to a per-core Curve Optimiser undervolt

PC36 Ultimate Performance Tune, available in the listing options

    • Advanced overclocking: memory tune, CPU tune and GPU overclock on top of everything in Premier
    • This is one of the listings where it earns its money. The 9800X3D is fully unlocked, so the CPU portion is a real overclock rather than an undervolt, and the 850W supply has the headroom to support it
  • 🛡️ Warranty: 3 years parts & labour (return to base)
Click or tap for deeper spec info
    • Standard 3-year coverage included, parts and labour both
    • Optional extended warranties in the listing options below
Why don't all parts list a brand and model?

Most of our spec is named exactly. The processor, motherboard, case, cooler and power supply are the models listed, every time.

For memory, storage and graphics cards we give a performance and quality guarantee instead of a model name. Supply on these three moves constantly, and pricing with it. Rather than list a part we might not be able to source next week, we commit to the specification: capacity, speed, timings, endurance class. And for graphics cards, we will always give you the chipset (e.g. RTX 5080) and VRAM that is listed.

We only use parts from established manufacturers. In practice the difference between two well-made components at the same specification is small enough that most people would never notice it.

If you'd like to know exactly what's going into your machine, ask before you order and we'll tell you. If you'd prefer a particular model, we can usually accommodate that, and you'd pay the difference in cost.

👁️ Transparency notes

  • The graphics card ships in its own box to protect the PCIe connector in transit, with instructions for fitting it (click or tap to read more)

This PC contains a large and high value graphics card. All graphics cards have a point of weakness at the PCIe connector, and shipping the card in its own box prevents damage that can happen in transit despite our industry-leading packaging. It arrives with simple instructions and fitting it takes a couple of minutes. If you have any queries about this, please contact us. This is without doubt the safest method to ensuring your high performance graphics card arrives pristine.

  • A machine this fast is very quiet at idle and audible in a demanding game (click or tap to read more)

A 360W graphics card makes noise in any case. This chassis has a proper airflow path and a radiator taking the processor's heat out of the roof, so it handles the heat comfortably, but it is not a silent machine when the card is working hard. The Premier Optimisation fan profile is where most of the improvement lives.

  • There is a lot of light in this machine, and all of it can be turned down (click or tap to read more)

The infinity mirror front, the fans and the memory are all lit, and that is the point of the series. It is also more light than some people want in a bedroom at night or a shared room, so it is worth knowing that all of it is under motherboard control: every part can be dimmed, set to a single colour or switched off entirely, and none of it affects how the machine performs. Tell us in the order notes how you would like it set and we will set it that way before it ships.

  • RGB heatspreaders on the RAM are not guaranteed unless the quick add-on is chosen - this is due to industry-wide supply constraints on memory
  • Memory, SSD and graphics card carry a specification guarantee rather than a fixed model (click or tap to read more)

Most parts are named models and will be what is delivered. RAM, SSD and graphics card instead carry a spec guarantee, because current market conditions make stock on those three very variable. This keeps us agile enough to offer good pricing and honest spec lists. If you want clarity on the precise models we will use, drop us a live chat on the day you're ready to purchase and we'll confirm it.

  • Product images are representative photos of a similar spec in the same style. Your PC will look similar but not identical. Our support team can help clarify anything you're unsure of.
  • Images may show a 360mm AIO CPU liquid cooler with an LCD screen. This is a representative photograph of another build in this case; your PC will ship with the cooler listed in the spec list. If you'd like clarification, or want an LCD screen cooler in your build, drop us a message via Live Chat

🛠️ Popular upgrade options

  • Quick-add upgrades. This listing has a set of one-click upgrades chosen to fit this exact build, each one priced, in the Quick-add Upgrades section on this page. Memory, storage, optimisation, the anti-sag bracket and the extended warranty are in the build options instead. Anything not shown in either place, ask us on live chat and we will price it.
  • Need a monitor, keyboard or mouse? Scroll past the add to cart button. We've paired specific peripherals to get the best out of this build.
  • Guaranteed RGB memory: choose it from the quick-add upgrades.
Click or tap for more info

Supply on memory is moving so fast at the moment that we cannot promise lit heatspreaders as standard. If the memory lighting matters to the look you want, and on a series built around light it usually does, this guarantees it.

  • PSU upgrade to 1000W Gold: choose it from the quick-add upgrades, or speak with us via live chat.
Click or tap for more info

Only worth it if you are planning a considerably more power-hungry graphics card later. The 850W fitted covers this build with plenty in hand.

  • Graphics card upgrade to RTX 5090 32GB: choose it from the quick-add upgrades, or speak with us via live chat.
Click or tap for more info

Possible, and the upgrade includes the larger power supply and the Thermal Grizzly WireView Pro II we fit to every 5090. Worth it only if you want 32GB of video memory for 3D, local AI or heavy video work, or run a 4K display at a very high refresh rate. For gaming alone the 5080 already handles 4K at high settings, and the money is often better spent on the monitor.

  • Motherboard upgrade to X870: choose it from the quick-add upgrades, or speak with us via live chat.
Click or tap for more info

For enthusiasts rather than for most buyers. On this micro-ATX series it swaps the board for a Gigabyte X870M AORUS ELITE WIFI7, and what genuinely changes is Wi-Fi 7 instead of Wi-Fi 6E and USB4 at 40Gbps, which no B850 board has, for single-cable docks and very fast external drives. Worth it if either is something you would actually use; if not, the B850 board fitted gives up nothing in games.

  • Cooling upgrade to a 360mm AIO liquid cooler: choose it from the quick-add upgrades, or speak with us via live chat.
Click or tap for more info

A third fan on the radiator, and more lighting in the roof to go with it. Worth it if you want the quietest the processor can be under sustained load, or simply like the look of a full-length radiator across the top. The 240mm fitted already handles this processor comfortably.

  • Storage upgrade to 2TB: available in the listing options below.
Click or tap for more info

Worth it if you keep more than a handful of large games installed at once, since modern installs regularly run past 100GB each. You can also leave it for later: two M.2 slots are free, so a drive added in a year costs you nothing you have already bought.

  • Braided cable extensions: choose them from the quick-add upgrades, or speak with us via live chat.
Click or tap for more info

More worthwhile on this series than on most of our machines, because the glass front and side put the cable runs on show and they are part of what you are looking at when the lights are on. Tell us your colour in the order notes and we fit them so the visible runs are done properly.

  • Extended warranty: available in the listing options below.
  • Anything else: speak with us via live chat. You will be talking to one of us, not a chatbot.

🎯 What is this PC best for?

  • 4K gaming at high to ultra settings, with ray tracing left on
  • High refresh 1440p, where the 9800X3D's cache sets the ceiling rather than the graphics card
  • Ray tracing and path tracing with DLSS 4 multi frame generation
  • Streaming, recording and video work, with the encoders and the cores to do it while playing
  • The desk where the machine is the centrepiece
