Pricing for repairs

Pricing depends on the work that needs doing - the nature of repair is that we do not know what is needed until we take a look.
We are not the cheapest - that's because we get the job done properly and won't try to upsell you with useless products and services

All repair services begin with a £50 diagnostic fee; see below

After diagnostics, all work and pricing will be discussed with you before being started, to ensure we're both in the loop

Breakdown

🩺 Diagnostics

All repairs carry an initial diagnostic fee of £50, regardless of whether further work is needed. If we cannot identify the fault, you don't pay. Simple. This safeguards our time expertly diagnosing your PC (similar to a call-out free for a trade professional)

If the fix is simple we may roll that cost into the initial diagnostic

‼️Component failures

Pricing below is the service cost to replace the component if found to be faulty.

This is in addition to the diagnostic fee, and does not included the price of any parts needed. If multiple are needed, a package deal can be arranged with discounts

CPU: £20
CPU Cooler: £25
Motherboard: £60
DRAM/Memory: no additional charge
Storage: £10 (more if data recovery is needed)
Graphics Card: no additional charge (chargeable if you'd like us to sort your drivers as well)
Case: £75
Power Supply: £50
Case fans: no additional charge

🪟 Software Issues

Pricing is in addition to the diagnostic fee

Most software issues are simple to fix. A blanket reinstallation of Windows is often the easiest solution

Full Windows reinstall with up to 1TB data backup and restore: £20
Clean graphics driver installation: £20

😡 Microstutter and lag in games

Lag has many causes - it can be internet, hardware or software issues. This will be handled case-by-case

Stutter is a very tricky issue to diagnose. Usually the fix is to check BIOS config, reinstall Windows, and be very particular about which apps are installed. We can do this for you, but on the expectation that there is often a lot of back and forth with getting this fixed

If you've already got the components for a new PC build, but are a bit stuck on how to build it, we can expertly assemble your build to the same standard as the PCs you see on our site. In our Torquay workshop we will build your ideal custom PC

Your build will be beautifully presented, with your fans tuned, BIOS set up, and secure boot enabled to ensure easy gaming. Windows can be installed if you'd like

Full assembly: £150-250 depending on complexity

(NB: Price does not include a Windows license - if Windows is installed for you, it will be in a usable state but not activated with a license key)
