⛰️ Edge Three

The top of the Edge line

Edge Three is where the Edge series stops being a value proposition and becomes a proper high end machine. A Ryzen 7 7800X3D, an RTX 5070 Ti 16GB and a 240mm liquid cooler, in the same Corsair 3000D RGB Airflow that keeps the whole line looking like one family. This is a 1440p ultra machine with genuine 4K capability behind it, and it is quiet doing both.

🧬 Built to last, designed to evolve

This system is built on AMD's modern AM5 platform, which offers one of the best CPU upgrade paths available today. That means you can start with a great processor now and still have room to move up the stack later, while keeping the same motherboard, case, power supply and most of your core components. GPU, storage and cooling are all easily upgradable so the system can grow with your needs over time.

📃 Specifications

  • 🧠 CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
Click or tap for deeper spec info
    • 8 cores, 16 threads of Zen 4, with 96MB of total cache thanks to AMD's 3D V-Cache
    • That cache is the whole point. Games spend a lot of their time waiting on memory, and a chip that can keep more of the game world close to the cores spends less time waiting. It is why the 7800X3D beats processors that cost considerably more in gaming, while drawing less power doing it
    • Around 60 to 80W under a gaming load, which is why a 240mm radiator is comfortably more cooling than it needs rather than only just enough
    • AM5 keeps the upgrade path open. A 9800X3D drops straight into this board when you want it
  • ❄️ CPU cooler: Thermalright Aqua Elite V6 240mm ARGB liquid cooler
Click or tap for deeper spec info
    • 240mm radiator with two ARGB PWM fans and an ARGB pump head, mounted in the top of the case as exhaust
    • Top mounting is deliberate. It keeps all three front fans free as intake, and it puts the heat from the processor straight out of the top of the case rather than over the motherboard
    • On a 7800X3D this is more cooling than the chip can use, and that is exactly the point: the fans and pump spend their lives running slowly, which is what makes the machine quiet
  • 🔲 Motherboard: Gigabyte B650 Eagle AX (ATX)
Click or tap for deeper spec info
    • 12+2+2 phase digital VRM with low RDS(on) MOSFETs. Plain English translation: comfortably more power delivery than a 7800X3D asks for, and enough to run a 9800X3D at full tilt without the board becoming the weak link.
    • We use the same board across the Edge line on purpose. X3D processors are power limited by design rather than power hungry, so a higher tier board buys almost nothing you would ever measure on a build like this. We would rather that money sat in the graphics card, and on this build it has
    • Three M.2 slots, one PCIe 5.0 and two PCIe 4.0, with a thermal guard on the primary. Two stay free, so storage can be added later without removing anything
    • Four DDR5 slots supporting EXPO and speeds well beyond what this build ships with
    • Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5 and Gigabit Ethernet onboard, with the aerial supplied in the box
    • PC36 only uses motherboards chosen for stability and longevity. See our Trusted brands page
  • 📏 Memory / RAM: 32GB (2×16GB) DDR5-6000 CL36
Click or tap for deeper spec info
    • DDR5-6000 CL36 is the sweet spot for AM5. It is the speed AMD's memory controller runs in its most efficient mode, and pushing past it usually costs more than it returns
    • EXPO is enabled in BIOS before the machine leaves us. A surprising number of prebuilt PCs ship with fast memory running at slow default speeds because nobody turned the profile on
    • Dual channel across two sticks, with two of the four slots still free for a later move to 64GB without discarding anything
    • Specification guaranteed, model may vary. Happy to confirm the exact part on request
  • 💾 Storage: 1TB NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD (TLC)
Click or tap for deeper spec info
    • TLC flash rather than QLC, which is the upgrade we make as standard from this tier upwards. It holds its speed on sustained writes and has considerably higher write endurance, which matters if you edit video or move large files regularly
    • 6,500MB/s or better sequential reads, so games and projects load as fast as the drive can deliver them
    • Two more M.2 slots stay free, one of them PCIe 5.0, so adding storage later is straightforward and does not mean replacing anything
    • Specification guaranteed, model may vary. Happy to confirm the exact part on request
  • 🎮 Graphics card: NVIDIA RTX 5070 Ti 16GB
Click or tap for deeper spec info
    • A 1440p ultra card with real 4K capability, and the point in the range where 4K stops being a compromise
    • 16GB of VRAM, which is the specification that keeps a card comfortable as game textures grow. It is the single biggest difference between this and the RTX 5070, and it matters more over time than the raw performance gap does
    • Strong ray tracing, and DLSS 4 with multi frame generation, which is where a lot of the headroom in demanding titles now comes from
    • NVENC on board, which is the encoder most streaming and recording software prefers
    • The chipset and VRAM are guaranteed: it will always be an RTX 5070 Ti with 16GB. The AIB brand varies with availability, and we only use established manufacturers. See our Trusted brands page for more info
  • 🧰 Case: Corsair 3000D RGB Airflow, ATX mid tower
Click or tap for deeper spec info
    • Full height mesh front panel with a tempered glass side, so the lighting is on show and the airflow is not paying for it
    • Takes graphics cards up to 360mm, which covers the large triple fan RTX 5070 Ti designs comfortably
    • Supports up to a 360mm radiator in the front and 280mm in the top. The 240mm cooler in this build sits in the top, leaving the front radiator mount free if you ever want to go further
    • Tool-free glass panel, which sounds like a small thing until the first time you want to get inside
    • Room for two extra 2.5 inch or 3.5 inch drives alongside the M.2 storage
  • 🌬️ Case cooling: 6 × 120mm ARGB fans in total. Three front intake, two top exhaust on the radiator, one rear exhaust
Click or tap for deeper spec info
    • Three AR120 RGB fans across the full front as intake, two ARGB fans on the top mounted radiator as exhaust, and one more at the rear as exhaust
    • Front to back and bottom to top. Cool air comes in across the whole front, feeds the graphics card directly, and leaves through the radiator and the rear rather than sitting in the top of the case
    • Positive pressure inside the case, which keeps dust moving through the front filter rather than settling in through every gap in the chassis
    • All of it runs from the motherboard's 5V ARGB header, so the lighting is controlled in software as one system rather than through a separate remote
    • Fan curves are tuned before dispatch, and airflow is verified through our standard stress testing rather than assumed
  • Power supply: Deepcool PN850D 850W 80+ Gold
Click or tap for deeper spec info
    • Includes a native 12V-2x6 PCIe 5.1 cable rated to the full 600W. That is the connector current and next-generation graphics cards use, so a future GPU upgrade needs no adaptor and no dongle: you plug the card straight in
    • Backed by a 10 year manufacturer warranty, which is longer than most units at any price and is the clearest signal a manufacturer can give about what they expect from their own product
    • 80+ Gold, and independently rated Gold by Cybenetics as well, which is a stricter test taken across the full load range rather than at three fixed points
    • ATX 3.1 certified, built to absorb the brief power spikes modern graphics cards produce rather than tripping over them
    • 850W against a build that draws well under that. The headroom is what lets the graphics card be upgraded as far as an RTX 5080 later without touching the power supply
    • Fixed cables rather than modular, which in a full size tower is the right way round. The 3000D has a deep rear chamber, so the cables this build does not use tuck away behind the motherboard tray where nothing is visible through the glass. Modularity earns its keep in small cases and open fishtank designs where there is nowhere to hide the slack. In a case like this one it mostly gives you a bag of spare cables to lose
  • 🔌 Cabling: Stock black cabling, neatly arranged
Click or tap for deeper spec info
    • Visible runs are finished cleanly and the rear chamber is kept tidy but not overtightened, so future upgrades stay straightforward
    • Braided cable extensions in your choice of colour are available from the upgrade options, and on a lit build behind glass they are the cheapest visual upgrade on the list
  • 📶 WiFi / Bluetooth / Ethernet: Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5 and Gigabit Ethernet, included
Click or tap for deeper spec info
    • Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5 are built into the Gigabyte B650 Eagle AX. No separate adapter needed, and the aerial is supplied in the box
    • Wi-Fi 6E adds the 6GHz band, which is usually far less congested than 2.4 and 5GHz if your router supports it
    • Gigabit Ethernet for a wired connection, which we would still recommend for competitive play. Gigabit is far more bandwidth than any game or stream needs; wired is about latency and consistency, not speed
  • 🪟 Operating system: As chosen by you from the listing options below. Windows 11 Home (OEM) is recommended.
  • 🧹 Setup and optimisation: PC36 High-Class Standard. Full stress test with certificate, bloat-free installation, and BIOS set up properly
Click or tap for deeper spec info

PC36 High-Class Standard, included free with every build

    • Ready the moment you open the box. Your PC boots straight into Windows with a local account already set up. No account sign-in wall, no first-run questionnaire, no half-hour of setup before you can use the machine you just bought
    • BIOS updated and configured properly: manual fan curves, PBO enabled, EXPO/XMP enabled, Secure Boot enabled
    • Vanilla Windows 11 installation if you choose Windows, with no bloatware added by us, and all drivers loaded and ready to go
    • Full stress test with certificate. Every system is torture tested on CPU, RAM and GPU before dispatch, and ships with the certificate to prove it

PC36 Premier Optimisation, available in the listing options

    • CPU tuning to bring thermals and noise down with minimal performance loss, plus a deeper strip and debloat of Windows

PC36 Ultimate Performance Tune, available in the listing options

    • Advanced overclocking: RAM tune, CPU tune and GPU overclock on top of everything in Premier
    • This is the tier where it pays off properly. There is real headroom in an RTX 5070 Ti, the 7800X3D responds well to a curve optimiser tune, and the liquid cooler gives that tuning somewhere to go. If you are going to take it on any build in our range, take it on this one
  • 🛡️ Warranty: 3 years parts & labour (return to base)
Click or tap for deeper spec info
    • Standard 3-year coverage included, parts and labour both
    • Optional extended warranties in the listing options below
Why don't all parts list a brand and model?

Most of our spec is named exactly. The processor, motherboard, case, cooler and power supply are the models listed, every time.

For memory, storage and graphics cards we give a performance and quality guarantee instead of a model name. Supply on these three moves constantly, and pricing with it. Rather than list a part we might not be able to source next week, we commit to the specification: capacity, speed, timings, endurance class. And for graphics cards, we will always give you the chipset (e.g. RTX 5070 Ti) and VRAM (e.g. 16GB) that is listed.

We only use parts from established manufacturers. In practice the difference between two well-made components at the same specification is small enough that most people would never notice it.

If you'd like to know exactly what's going into your machine, ask before you order and we'll tell you. If you'd prefer a particular model, we can usually accommodate that, and you'd pay the difference in cost.

👁️ Transparency notes

  • Product images are representative photos of a similar spec in the same style. Your PC will look similar but not identical. Our support team can help clarify anything you're unsure of.
  • RGB heatspreaders on the RAM are not guaranteed unless the quick add-on is chosen - this is due to industry-wide supply constraints on memory
  • If you upgrade to an RTX 5080, bear in mind shipping changes (click or tap to read more)

That system contains a bulky and highly valuable graphics card, so we ship the graphics card in a separate box with simple instructions showing you how to install it. All graphics cards have a point of weakness at the PCIe connector, and separate shipping prevents damage that can occur despite our packaging. The card is still built into your system, stress tested in it, and then removed for transit. If you have any queries about this, please contact us.

  • Memory, SSD and graphics card carry a specification guarantee rather than a fixed model (click or tap to read more)

Most parts are named models and will be what is delivered. RAM, SSD and graphics card instead carry a spec guarantee, because current market conditions make stock on those three very variable. This keeps us agile enough to offer good pricing and honest spec lists. If you want clarity on the precise models we will use, drop us a live chat on the day you're ready to purchase and we'll confirm it.

🛠️ Popular upgrade options

  • Need a monitor, keyboard or mouse? Scroll past the add to cart button. We've paired specific peripherals to get the best out of this build.
  • Storage upgrade to 2TB: available in the listing options below.
Click or tap for more info

The upgrade most people are glad they took, and more so on a machine at this tier where 4K game installs and video projects both take real space. 1TB fills faster than it sounds like it should.

  • Memory upgrade to 48GB or 64GB: available in the listing options below.
Click or tap for more info

Worth it for heavy creative work, large project files or running virtual machines. For gaming, even with a stream running alongside, 32GB is genuinely enough and the money is better spent elsewhere.

  • CPU upgrade to Ryzen 7 9800X3D: choose it from the quick-add upgrades, or speak with us via live chat.
Click or tap for more info

A real step up in competitive titles and anything simulation heavy, where the processor rather than the graphics card sets the ceiling. At 1440p ultra and at 4K the difference is smaller, because the RTX 5070 Ti is doing the limiting. Worth it if you play at very high refresh rates; less so if you play at 4K.

  • GPU upgrade to RTX 5080 16GB: choose it from the quick-add upgrades, or speak with us via live chat.
Click or tap for more info

The upgrade that turns this into a 4K ultra machine rather than a 4K capable one. The 850W power supply already handles it and the case has the clearance. Worth knowing before you choose it: shipping changes, as explained in the transparency notes above.

  • Cooling upgrade to a 360mm AIO liquid cooler: choose it from the quick-add upgrades, or speak with us via live chat.
Click or tap for more info

Mounted in the front, where the case takes a 360mm radiator. On a 7800X3D the 240mm is already more than sufficient, so this is about noise at the margins and about the look, and we would rather say so than sell it as a performance gain.

  • Braided cable extensions: available from the quick-add upgrades section.
Click or tap for more info

The best value visual upgrade on a lit build behind glass. Available in a range of colours, fitted by us so the visible runs are done properly rather than left for you to redo.

🎯 What is this PC best for?

  • 1440p gaming at ultra settings, at frame rates that suit a high refresh monitor
  • 4K gaming at high settings, with DLSS 4 where you want more headroom
  • Competitive titles at very high frame rates, where the 7800X3D does the heavy lifting
  • Streaming and video editing, with 16GB of VRAM and NVENC both pulling their weight
  • Anyone who wants a machine that will still be comfortable at 1440p in four or five years
