Sval Three is the top of the range and the one the Aerocool P500A was really made for. An RTX 5080 with 16GB of GDDR7 filling the middle of two curved glass panels, a Ryzen 7 7800X3D behind it, and a 240mm liquid cooler taking the processor's heat out of the roof.

This tier also steps the motherboard up, which is worth saying plainly because it is the one thing Sval One and Two give up. The ASRock B850 Riptide brings Wi-Fi 7, 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet and a PCIe 5.0 graphics slot as standard rather than as an upgrade.

It is a 4K machine with the parts on display, hand-built and stress tested like everything else we make, with three years of parts and labour behind it.

Built on AMD's AM5 platform, which AMD have committed to supporting into 2027 and beyond. The processor, memory and storage can all be upgraded without replacing the motherboard, and the case takes graphics cards up to 420mm and a radiator up to 360mm in the top. This is a machine designed to be kept rather than replaced.

  • 8 cores, 16 threads of Zen 4, boosting to 5.0GHz, with 96MB of L3 cache thanks to AMD's 3D V-Cache
  • The cache is the whole point. Stacking 64MB of extra L3 on top of the die means far more of a game's working data sits next to the cores instead of out in system memory. In the games that care - large open worlds, simulation titles, heavily modded games, competitive shooters at very high refresh - that is worth more than raw clock speed, and it is why this chip has stayed at the top of gaming charts for so long
  • No power limit imposed. A 49 litre case and a 240mm radiator mean this chip runs exactly as AMD intended, with nothing held back for thermal reasons
  • The 7800X3D is not multiplier-overclockable. The stacked cache sits above the cores on this generation, so AMD lock the multiplier to protect it. Tuning here means a Curve Optimiser undervolt, which lowers temperatures and fan speed rather than raising clocks
  • Socket AM5, so a faster processor can go in later without replacing anything else

  • A 240mm all-in-one liquid cooler with two 120mm ARGB PWM fans, a copper coldplate and an ARGB pump head, mounted in the top of the case
  • Comfortably more cooler than a 7800X3D needs, which is exactly the intention. This is an unusually efficient processor for its performance, so a 240mm radiator sheds its heat with the fans turning slowly. Slow fans are quiet fans
  • It moves the processor's heat out of the case entirely. An air cooler dumps warm air into the chassis for the rear fan to deal with; a top-mounted radiator exhausts it straight out through the roof. With a 360W graphics card in the same case, keeping those two heat sources on separate paths matters more than the raw cooling figure does
  • The ARGB on the fans and the pump head matches the case fans and runs from the same board headers, so the machine reads as one thing through the glass
  • The case takes up to a 360mm radiator in the top if you ever want to go further, for instance alongside a 9800X3D
  • Mounted with thermal paste applied by hand. Tube routing and pump orientation are set so no air can collect at the pump, which is the thing that shortens an AIO's life

  • DDR5-6000 is the speed Ryzen on AM5 runs best at. It keeps the memory controller and the memory running in step with each other, which is where the platform is happiest, and going faster on paper often makes it slower in practice. It matters more here than on the tiers below, because the X3D cache and the memory subsystem work together
  • 32GB is the right amount for a machine at this level. It covers modern games at maximum settings with plenty spare for a browser, Discord and a stream running alongside

  • Blackwell, 16GB of GDDR7 on a 256-bit bus. A 4K card in the proper sense, and far more than any 1440p monitor will ever ask of it
  • DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation. Transformer-model upscaling is a real visual step up from the older model, and on a card this fast it is what turns 4K from playable into effortless
  • Heavy ray tracing at 4K is comfortable here. This is the tier where ray tracing stops being a setting you weigh up and becomes one you leave on

  • 460 × 235 × 480mm, 49 litres. Full ATX, seven expansion slots
  • Dual curved glass panels across the front and side, with no corner pillar between them. That is the whole reason this case exists, and on this build it is the reason the range exists at all: a 5080 deserves to be seen
  • Because the front is glass, there are no front fan mounts. Air comes in through the side instead. The mounts are three in the side, three in the top, one at the rear and two on the power supply shroud
  • Radiator support is top only, from 120mm up to 360mm. This build uses a 240mm up there, with room to go further

  • Four fans come with the case and two more with the cooler. Six in total, all addressable, all PWM. Three drawing air in through the side, one exhausting at the rear, two exhausting through the radiator in the roof
  • Why the side fans are reverse-blade, since it is the most interesting thing about this chassis. A normal fan has its attractive side facing the direction it blows, so in an intake position behind glass you would be looking at the motor hub and the wiring. A reverse-blade fan has the blade geometry flipped, so the good-looking side faces you while the air still moves the right way. It is a detail that only exists in cases built to be seen
  • Two separate heat paths, which is what makes this build work. The side fans feed cool air straight across the graphics card and out of the back; the radiator takes the processor's heat out of the roof. Neither is breathing the other's exhaust, and with a 360W card that separation is doing real work
  • Fan curves are set by hand before dispatch and verified through our standard stress testing rather than assumed
  • Honest expectation setting: a 360W graphics card is audible in any case when it is working, and it is the card you will hear rather than the processor. 49 litres and six fans mean the heat is handled comfortably and the machine does not have to shout to do it, but it is not silent under load and we would rather say so

  • 850W, which is NVIDIA's own recommendation for the RTX 5080. Under a heavy gaming load this build draws around 500W, so there is real headroom above the load rather than merely enough
  • 80 PLUS Gold and ATX 3.1 certified with a native 12V-2x6 cable, which is specifically designed to tolerate the short transient spikes Blackwell cards are known for. That certification is the reason 850W is the right answer here rather than a nervous one
  • Non-modular, which in a 49 litre case with a full cable management chamber and a power supply shroud is a non-issue. Nothing unused is visible through the glass, and that is part of what the build time buys you

  • The 12V-2x6 cable is routed with a proper bend radius rather than forced into the nearest gap. That connector does not tolerate being crushed, and getting it right is not optional on a card this expensive
