Most gaming PCs go on a desk once and stay there. Smol has a handle moulded into the top and the whole machine weighs about what a loaded rucksack does, so it's the one that comes home at the end of term, moves between flats, or lifts out of the way when the desk is needed for something else.

It gives up very little for that. An Intel Arc B570 with 10GB of memory and a Ryzen 5 5600 play modern games properly at 1080p, and 1440p is well within reach with XeSS or FSR doing some of the work. 10GB is more video memory than almost anything else near this price carries, and video memory is what decides how long a card stays comfortable.

This PC is already built and ready to ship. The catch? Just one in stock, and it will not be restocked. Our already-built PCs take advantage of supplier deals, which we pass onto you, but aren't repeatable ad infinitum

🧬 Built to last, designed to evolve

Built on AMD's AM4 platform. We'll be straight about what that means: AMD have stopped releasing new processors for this socket, so this is a machine to upgrade within rather than to build forward from. What you get in exchange is why it costs what it does, because AM4 boards and DDR4 memory are a fraction of the price of the current generation and the difference at this level is not something you'd feel in a game. The Ryzen 7 5700X drops straight into this board if you ever want more cores, and the cooler, memory and storage can all be changed without touching anything else.

  • The 54mm low-profile cooler AMD ship in the box, rated to the 5600's full 65W and holding it comfortably at stock
  • It handles the processor. What it doesn't do is stay quiet while boosting. A small fan has to spin quickly to move air, so this is the part of the machine you'll hear when the processor is working hard. Everything else here is unusually quiet for the size
  • There's a tower cooler upgrade in the quick-add options, and on this build we'd take it. The case allows coolers up to 172mm, so a full-size tower fits with room to spare, and a bigger heatsink with a 120mm fan does the same job far more quietly. Worth it if the machine lives on a desk beside you rather than under one
  • Thermal paste applied by hand rather than using the pre-applied pad, and the fan curve set before it ships

  • AMD B550 on a 170 × 170mm Mini-ITX board, socket AM4, with an 8-phase power design and four SATA ports
  • PCIe 4.0 x16 to the graphics card with this processor fitted, so the card runs at full speed rather than being held back by the board
  • One M.2 slot, and it's occupied. On a board this size that's the trade: adding storage later means changing the drive rather than adding a second one, or using the SATA ports. Worth knowing before you plan an upgrade, which is why the storage options below are worth a look now

  • Dual channel is not a detail, it's the difference. On AM4 it matters more than on newer platforms, so a matched pair is the right call even at this price. A single 16GB stick would cost you real frames

  • TLC rather than QLC, which matters more day to day than the PCIe generation does. TLC holds its write speed as the drive fills; a cheaper QLC drive slows down once its cache is used. At this price most machines get QLC, and this one doesn't
  • Netac aren't a name most people know in the UK, and they're covered by our warranty just the same. They're a Shenzhen manufacturer listed on the Shenzhen exchange, in the business since 1999, and the saving on the drive is part of what paid for a 10GB graphics card at this price
  • It's a PCIe 3.0 drive rather than the PCIe 4.0 we fit across most of the range. In practice that's very hard to notice: game load times depend on far more than sequential speed and Windows feels identical. Copying very large files between drives is where you'd see it

  • 10GB is the headline, and it's unusual at this price. Most cards near this money carry 8GB, and video memory is what ages a card fastest. Textures at high settings in a modern title will use more than 8GB at 1440p, and this card has the room to keep going rather than fall off a cliff

  Most of what we sell is built to order from a series we can repeat. This is not that, and the case has been discontinued, so it isn't something we could rebuild even if we wanted to. Unlike our built-to-order machines we can't swap the case or the board for you, because this one is already assembled and tested. What can be changed is the memory, the storage and the cooling. Anything else is worth asking about on live chat before you order rather than after.

  The memory options in the listing below are priced for our DDR5 machines, and this is a DDR4 machine. DDR4 currently costs a fraction of what DDR5 does, so buying the upgrade through the dropdown would mean paying a DDR5 price for DDR4 memory.   The Wraith Stealth is rated for the full 65W this processor produces and keeps it comfortably in check. What it doesn't do is stay quiet while doing it. Everything else in this build is unusually quiet for the size, so the cooler is what you'll hear. The case takes coolers up to 172mm, so a full tower fits, and the upgrade is one of the two quick-add options on this listing.
