Secret Zero is the entry point to the Secret series, which is where we put the money into the parts and not into the marketing. A Ryzen 5 5600 and an RTX 5050 in a glass-fronted Phanteks XT V3, hand-built and stress tested like every machine we sell.
This is a 1080p gaming PC and we would rather call it that than dress it up. At high settings in modern titles it is comfortable, in competitive games it is quick, and with DLSS it will stretch to 1440p in plenty of things. What it will not do is play the heaviest recent releases at 1440p with everything on, and any listing that tells you otherwise at this price is selling you something.
What you do get is the same build standard as our four thousand pound machines: bloat-free Windows, a BIOS set up properly, and a full stress test with a certificate in the box.
🧬 Built to last, designed to evolve
This system is built on AMD's AM4 platform rather than the newer AM5. That is a deliberate choice at this price: AM4 is a mature, extremely well supported socket with cheap memory and cheap boards, and it is what makes this machine cost what it does. Being honest about the trade, AMD have stopped releasing new processors for it, so the upgrade path here is a Ryzen 7 5700X3D rather than anything newer. Memory, storage and the graphics card all remain straightforward to change, and this board has four memory slots with two of them free.

- The cooler AMD ship with the 5600, and it is genuinely matched to it. A 65W processor is what this cooler was designed around
- Being straight about it: it keeps the 5600 within temperature comfortably, and it is audible when the processor is working hard. It is not a bad cooler, it is a small one. If quiet matters to you, the tower cooler upgrade below is the single most effective change you can make to this machine
- This case takes coolers up to 175mm tall, so there is a great deal of room to go bigger later. Nothing about this chassis limits you

- Two M.2 slots: one Gen4 with a heatsink, one Gen3. Only one is used here
- Four SATA ports, plus VGA, DisplayPort and HDMI on the rear

- Two matched sticks, with two slots left free. Going to 32GB later is a matter of adding a second pair rather than replacing what is in there
- DDR4 is a large part of why this machine costs what it does. It is a fraction of the price of DDR5 at the moment, and on a build at this level you would not feel the difference

- This is a QLC drive. It is quick for everything you will do day to day, and it slows down only during very long sustained writes such as moving hundreds of gigabytes in one go. For gaming and normal use you would not notice, and the money saved is in the graphics card instead
- We fit 1TB as standard across the whole range rather than varying it by price, so comparing our machines to each other is straightforward. The 2TB option is below
- The board has a second M.2 slot free, and the case takes two 2.5 inch drives and one 3.5 inch drive, so there is plenty of room to add storage later

- Blackwell, 2,560 CUDA cores, 8GB of GDDR6 on a 128-bit bus. 130W, so it runs cool and asks little of the power supply
- DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation is what makes this card make sense. It is the entry point of the current generation, and the current generation of upscaling is exactly what an entry card needs. The transformer model is a real visual step up from what came before
- NVENC with AV1 encoding for streaming and recording. Even at this price you get the encoder most streaming software is built around, which is not true of every card at this level
- Fourth-generation ray tracing cores. Ray tracing is possible here at 1080p in most titles with DLSS doing the work, but it is not what this card is for
- Being straight about the 8GB and about the tier: this is an entry card. It is comfortable at 1080p high, and at 1440p it will need DLSS and some settings turned down in recent heavy titles. We would rather tell you that than let you discover it. If 1440p is your target, Secret One is the honest recommendation

- Generous where it matters. Graphics cards up to 430mm long, CPU coolers up to 175mm tall, power supplies up to 150mm. Nothing you are likely to want to fit later is going to be a problem, which is not something we can say about our small form factor machines
- The glass front is the whole design. There are no front fan mounts, because there is no front mesh to breathe through. Air comes in through the floor instead, which is why the fans are where they are. If you would rather have a mesh front, there is a free case swap in the upgrade options below
- Fan mounts: three in the base, one at the rear, three in the top. Seven 120mm positions in total
- Radiator support is top only, up to 360mm, if you ever fit liquid cooling
- Two 2.5 inch drive mounts and one 3.5 inch mount
- Front I/O is USB-C, one USB-A and a combined headphone and microphone jack

- Three reverse-blade ARGB fans in the floor drawing cool air straight up into the graphics card, and one ARGB exhaust at the rear that we fit ourselves. That is the airflow path this chassis was designed around
- Reverse blade matters here. In a bottom-mounted position a normal fan's blade geometry works against the direction of travel; a reverse-blade fan is built to push the other way and moves noticeably more air for the same noise
- We do not fit top fans on any Secret build. With intake in the floor and exhaust at the rear, the airflow path is already doing its job, and three more fans would add cost and noise for very little. We would rather leave them out than sell you fans that are not earning their place
- Four-pin PWM throughout with addressable lighting, run from the board's ARGB headers
- Fan curves are set by hand before dispatch and verified through our standard stress testing rather than assumed
- A 65W processor and a 130W graphics card is a very easy job for a 40 litre case. This is the coolest and quietest configuration in the Secret range by a wide margin

- 500W against a build that draws around 220W under a heavy gaming load. That is a comfortable margin for what is fitted
- 80 PLUS certified. This is the entry tier of our power supply range and we are not going to pretend otherwise, but it is a properly certified unit from a manufacturer we use across the catalogue rather than an unbranded one
- Non-modular, which in a 40 litre case with a full cable management chamber is a non-issue. There is plenty of room to tuck away what you are not using, and that is part of what the build time buys you
- If you plan to fit a much larger graphics card later, tell us before you order. 500W is right for this build and would not be right for a big upgrade, and it is far cheaper to specify the larger unit now than to swap it afterwards

- Advanced overclocking: memory tune, CPU tune and GPU overclock on top of everything in Premier
- Not the machine for it, and we will say so. This build is limited by the graphics card, and a processor overclock will not change your frame rate. On the stock cooler it would also undo the quiet you just paid for. The money would do more good spent on the cooler upgrade or a bigger card

Why don't all parts list a brand and model?
Most of our spec is named exactly. The processor, motherboard, case, cooler and power supply are the models listed, every time.
For memory, storage and graphics cards we give a performance and quality guarantee instead of a model name. Supply on these three moves constantly, and pricing with it. Rather than list a part we might not be able to source next week, we commit to the specification: capacity, speed, timings, endurance class. And for graphics cards, we will always give you the chipset (e.g. RTX 5050) and VRAM (e.g. 8GB) that is listed.
We only use parts from established manufacturers. In practice the difference between two well-made components at the same specification is small enough that most people would never notice it.
If you'd like to know exactly what's going into your machine, ask before you order and we'll tell you. If you'd prefer a particular model, we can usually accommodate that, and you'd pay the difference in cost.

The stock CPU cooler is adequate, but we recommend choosing to upgrade it for noise and thermal improvement (click or tap to read more)
It keeps the 5600 within temperature without difficulty, but it is a small cooler and you will hear it when the processor is working. The tower cooler upgrade below fixes that properly. We fit the stock cooler as standard to keep the price where it is, not because we think it is the better part.

- RGB heatspreaders on the RAM are not guaranteed unless the quick add-on is chosen - this is due to industry-wide supply constraints on memory

It does not cover accidental, liquid, or vandalism damage, nor overclocking.
User error including pirated software or viruses is not covered
Repair/replacement is attempted first, and if unable to/uneconomical a refund may be offered
Returns Policy
Returns are accepted within 14 calendar days of delivery, with the following conditions:
- Buyer bears responsibility for return postage cost (unless faulty), and responsibility for the safety/condition of the parcel on its journey back to us
- All serial numbers are recorded and any discrepancies will void the return
- The PC and packaging must be returned in saleable as new condition. All packaging and accessories must be included in the return or it will be void
- Refunds are sent directly to the payment method used for the order
