A small aluminium box standing on a wooden base usually turns out to be an office machine or a media player. Ro Two is a full 1440p gaming PC in one: a Ryzen 5 7500F, 32GB of dual channel DDR5 and an RTX 5070, inside 11 litres of 4mm machined aluminium on a solid walnut base.

The step up from Ro One is not subtle. Current AM5 hardware on a socket AMD are still adding processors to, roughly twice the graphics card, a low-profile Thermalright cooler with a full-size 120mm fan in place of a stock one, and a case fan we fit ourselves. It is quicker and quieter at the same time, which isn't the usual trade.

What that leaves is a machine that holds high settings at 1440p without being asked to negotiate about it, and still looks like something you chose, sitting where you can see it rather than pushed under a desk.

🧬 Built to last, designed to evolve

Built on AMD's AM5 platform, which AMD have committed to supporting into 2027 and beyond. The processor, memory and storage can all be upgraded without replacing the motherboard, and this board has two M.2 slots with only one used. Within the space limits of a small chassis, the graphics card and cooling can be changed too.

  • 6 cores, 12 threads of Zen 4, boosting to 5.0GHz, with 32MB of L3 cache
  • The 7500F is the 7600 with the integrated graphics switched off and a lower price attached. In a machine with a dedicated graphics card that costs you nothing at all, and it is the single best value processor on AM5 because of it
  • 65W TDP, though it boosts past that in practice and will pull around 88W with every core loaded. That is still a modest heat load, and the AXP120-X67 fitted here has a good deal more cooler than it needs for it, which is where the quiet comes from. It matters more here than it would in a tower too: this case trades cooler height against graphics card thickness, so a processor that runs cool keeps both sides of that trade sensible
  • Socket AM5, so a much faster processor can go in later without touching anything else. That is the main structural difference between this machine and Ro One
  • No integrated graphics, which is what makes it cheap. Not a limitation in a build with a dedicated card, but worth knowing

  • A low-profile top-down cooler, 67mm tall, with six heatpipes and a full-size 120mm fan. Against a processor that peaks around 88W it is never working hard, and that is rather the point
  • Most coolers at this height use a 92mm fan and have to spin it hard. The 120mm fan here moves the same air far more slowly, and fan speed is what you actually hear. In a case meant to sit on a desk in front of you, that is the difference that matters
  • Top-down design, so it also pushes air across the motherboard's power stages and memory. In a chamber this small that is worth having
  • At 67mm it sets the interior to the middle position, which allows a graphics card up to 2.5 slots thick. That is what the RTX 5070 in this build needs, and we choose a card model that fits it properly. There is more on this in the case notes below
  • Mounted with Thermalright's own paste, applied by hand rather than using a pre-applied pad

  • 8+2+1 power phase design with Dr.MOS on an 8-layer PCB. Plain English translation: far more power delivery than a 65W processor needs, and enough headroom to run a 7800X3D or a 9800X3D if you upgrade the processor later
  • Two M.2 slots, one Gen5 and one Gen4. Only one is used on this build, so a second SSD is a straightforward job rather than a compromise. That is unusually generous on a Mini-ITX board, and it matters more in a case with one drive bay than it would in a tower

  • A matched pair running dual channel at DDR5-6000 CL36, enabled via EXPO in the BIOS before it ships
  • DDR5-6000 is the speed Ryzen on AM5 runs best at. It keeps the memory controller and the memory running in step with each other, which is where the platform is happiest, and going faster on paper often makes it slower in practice
  • 32GB is the sensible amount for a machine at this level. It covers modern games with plenty spare for a browser, Discord and a stream running alongside
  • Both memory slots are used, so a later capacity increase means replacing the pair rather than adding to it. On a Mini-ITX board that is simply how it is, and 32GB is enough that most people will never need to

  • This is a QLC drive. It is quick for everything you will do day to day, and it slows down only during very long sustained writes such as moving hundreds of gigabytes in one go. For gaming and normal use you would not notice, and the money saved is in the graphics card instead

  • Blackwell with 12GB of GDDR7 on a 192-bit bus. A strong 1440p card at high settings, and a very quick one in competitive titles
  • DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation. This is where NVIDIA still lead clearly, and on a card at this tier it is what turns a demanding title from playable into comfortable
  • Ray tracing at 1440p is genuinely usable here rather than a box-ticking exercise, which is the main thing this card buys over the tier below
  • NVENC for streaming and recording, including AV1. It is the encoder most streaming software is built around
  • On the 12GB, since people ask: the memory argument gets blown well out of proportion online. It bites in edge cases at absolute maximum settings in a small number of titles, and the fix is one texture step. For the way almost everyone actually plays at 1440p, 12GB on a 192-bit bus is not what limits this card
  • Card selection matters in this chassis. With the cooler we fit, the interior allows a graphics card up to 2.5 slots thick and 310mm long. Most RTX 5070 models clear that, some triple-slot ones do not, so we select and verify a model that goes in properly

  • 11 litres. 155 × 325 × 224mm, and 3.85kg before anything goes in it. Mini-ITX only
  • 4mm aluminium alloy with steel reinforcement, sitting on a solid walnut base. Most cases at any price are folded steel with an aluminium front panel. This one is machined aluminium throughout and it feels like it. The wood is real, not a printed finish, so every one is slightly different
  • Dual chamber layout. The graphics card sits in its own compartment on one side, connected by a riser cable, with the motherboard and power supply on the other. Each side draws its own air, which is what makes a 250W card sensible in a case this size
  • The interior slides to three positions, trading cooler height against graphics card thickness: 78mm of cooler with a 2-slot card, 68mm with a 2.5-slot card, or 58mm with a 3-slot card. Ro Two runs the middle position, which is the balance the AXP120-X67 and an RTX 5070 want
  • Graphics cards up to 310mm long. Standard SFX power supplies only, not SFX-L
  • One 3.5 inch bay and one 2.5 inch bay, or two 2.5 inch drives. Fitting a 3.5 inch hard drive drops the graphics card limit from 310mm to 202mm, so on this build it is not an option we would recommend
  • Front I/O is a single USB-C port and a hidden power button. That is all there is. No USB-A on the front, and no headphone or microphone jack. It is a deliberate design decision by Jonsbo to keep the aluminium clean, and the board's rear panel has the rest. Worth knowing before you order if you plug things in and out often

  • Small form factor builds take considerably longer to assemble, cable and tune than a standard tower. That work is included in the price rather than added to it

  • The T9 ships with no fans at all. We fit a 120mm exhaust in the top of the motherboard chamber, which is where the heat from the processor and the power stages wants to go
  • Plain black, four-pin PWM, no lighting. The T9 is not an RGB case and we do not treat it like one
  • The graphics card sits in its own compartment with its own vents, so it draws cool air directly rather than sharing with the processor. That separation is the single best thing about this chassis and it is why a 250W card works here at all
  • Fan curves are set by hand before dispatch and verified through our standard stress testing rather than assumed. In a case this size that tuning is what decides whether the machine is pleasant to sit next to
  • Honest expectation setting: at idle and in light use this is a quiet machine. In a demanding game you will hear the graphics card, more than you would hear the same card in a full tower, because there is less air and less surface area to work with. That is the trade small form factor asks for

  A 250W graphics card in 11 litres cannot be as quiet as the same card in a full tower. At idle and in light use it is very quiet. In a demanding game you will hear it. We tune the fan curves by hand to make that as pleasant as we can, and we would rather set the expectation than let you find out.
