⚫ Flux Three
Peak performance, calm precision
Flux Three is the top of the Flux line and the quietest way we know to put this much performance on a desk. A Ryzen 7 9800X3D and an RTX 5080 16GB handle 4K at ultra without argument, and they do it behind a walnut and steel front with no lighting anywhere in the build. Air cooling throughout, five fans moving air through the chassis, and a case that solves the one airflow problem most towers ignore.
🧬 Built to last, designed to evolve
This system is built on AMD's modern AM5 platform, which offers one of the best CPU upgrade paths available today. That means you can start with a great processor now and still have room to move up the stack later, while keeping the same motherboard, case, power supply and most of your core components. GPU, storage and cooling are all easily upgradable so the system can grow with your needs over time.
📃 Specifications
- 🧠 CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D
Click or tap for deeper spec info
- 8 cores, 16 threads of Zen 5, with second-generation 3D V-Cache sitting underneath the cores rather than on top of them, which is what lets it clock high and cache heavily at the same time
- AMD's flagship gaming processor and by some margin the most popular high-end chip we fit. In CPU-bound titles, competitive shooters and simulation games especially, that stacked cache is what separates it from a conventional processor
- Still a genuinely strong productivity chip, so streaming, editing and compiling all sit comfortably alongside the gaming performance
- Unlocked for overclocking, which is what the Ultimate Performance Tune option makes use of
- ❄️ CPU cooler: Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120, dual tower air cooler
Click or tap for deeper spec info
- Dual tower, six heat pipes, twin 120mm PWM fans. Plain black with no lighting and no display, which is the point on a Flux build
- Air rather than liquid, deliberately. The 9800X3D is efficient for a flagship, and a dual tower of this size handles it without ever needing to work hard. There is no pump to fail and nothing to run dry in five years, which matters on a machine bought to last
- If you want this build as close to silent as current hardware allows, the Noctua Pure Silence upgrade below is the serious answer. It is not a small upgrade and we would not pretend otherwise
- 🔲 Motherboard: ASRock B850 Riptide WiFi (ATX)
Click or tap for deeper spec info
- 14+2+1 phase power design with 80A DrMOS on Vcore and SOC. Plain English translation: overkill power handling, which means any socket AM5 CPU will run beautifully in this motherboard if you choose to upgrade later. The board never becomes the limit, whether you overclock now or move up the stack in a few years
- PCIe 5.0 x16 for the graphics card. We specify a Gen5 slot on every RTX 5080 and 5090 build, so the slot is ready for the generation of cards after this one as well as the one fitted today
- Four M.2 slots, one of them PCIe Gen5 x4, on an 8-layer PCB. Three drives can be added later without touching what is already installed
- Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4 and 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet onboard
- PC36 only uses motherboards chosen for stability and longevity. See our Trusted brands page
- 📏 Memory / RAM: 32GB (2×16GB) DDR5-6000 CL36
Click or tap for deeper spec info
- EXPO-tuned dual channel DDR5-6000, the speed Ryzen responds to best on AM5. Enabled in BIOS before the machine leaves us rather than left at default
- 32GB is the right amount at this tier: enough for 4K gaming with a browser, Discord and a capture running alongside, without paying for capacity that sits idle
- Two of the four slots stay free, so 64GB later means adding rather than replacing
- Specification guaranteed, model may vary. Happy to confirm the exact part on request
- 💾 Storage: 1TB NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD (TLC)
Click or tap for deeper spec info
- TLC flash rated at 6,500MB/s or better, which holds its speed on long sustained writes rather than dropping off once a cache fills. On a build at this price we do not fit QLC drives
- Higher write endurance than the entry-tier alternative, which matters if you record gameplay, edit video, or simply install and uninstall a lot
- Three M.2 slots stay free, one of them PCIe Gen5, so adding storage later is straightforward
- Specification guaranteed, model may vary. Happy to confirm the exact part on request
- 🎮 Graphics card: NVIDIA RTX 5080 16GB (shipped separately for safety, see below)
Click or tap for deeper spec info
- This is a bulky and valuable graphics card, and as such it will be shipped separately with instructions for you to install it upon receipt
- To be clear about what that means: the card is fitted into this exact system, stress tested in it, and only then carefully removed and boxed for transit. Your machine is built and validated as a whole. We do not drop-ship graphics cards or send you parts to assemble
- Genuine 4K ultra performance in modern AAA titles, with the ray tracing hardware and DLSS 4 frame generation to keep path-traced games playable rather than theoretical
- 16GB of GDDR7 on a 256-bit bus, feeding textures fast enough that 4K stops being the thing that limits your settings
- The chipset and VRAM are guaranteed: it will always be an RTX 5080 with 16GB. The AIB brand varies with availability, and we only use established manufacturers. See our Trusted brands page for more info
- 🧰 Case: Antec Flux, ATX mid tower with walnut front
Click or tap for deeper spec info
- Steel mesh front panel with a real walnut wood inlay, and 4mm tempered glass on the side. A case that can sit in a living room without looking like gaming furniture
- Takes graphics cards up to 408mm and CPU coolers up to 180mm tall, so even the largest RTX 5080 designs fit with room to spare
- Radiator support up to 420mm in the front and 360mm in the top, if you ever want to move this build to liquid
- Dust filters throughout, which matter more on a high-airflow machine you intend to keep for years than on one you replace
- Takes boards up to E-ATX, so a future rebuild is not constrained by the chassis
- 🌬️ Case cooling: 5 fans included with the case. Three 120mm front intake, one 120mm reverse fan on the power supply shroud, one 140mm rear exhaust
Click or tap for deeper spec info
- The reverse fan on the power supply shroud is what the Flux is named for, and on a build with an RTX 5080 in it the benefit is at its largest. It sits under the graphics card and blows cool air upward onto the back of the card, into the space that is normally the hottest and deadest part of any tower
- Graphics cards exhaust downward as well as sideways, so in a conventional case that air has nowhere to go and simply recirculates. A 5080 produces a lot of it. Here it gets pushed straight back into the main airflow path and out of the rear
- Three 120mm intakes across the front, a 140mm rear exhaust, and positive pressure inside the case so dust comes through the filters rather than through every gap in the chassis
- All five fans are plain black with no lighting, which is the point of this build. The case does include an ARGB and PWM hub, so if you ever want to add lit fans yourself the wiring is already there
- Fan curves are tuned before dispatch, and airflow is verified through our standard stress testing rather than assumed
- ⚡ Power supply: Deepcool PN850D 850W 80+ Gold
Click or tap for deeper spec info
- Includes a native 12V-2x6 PCIe 5.1 cable rated to the full 600W. That is the connector the RTX 5080 uses, so the card plugs straight in with no adaptor and no dongle in the loop
- Backed by a 10 year manufacturer warranty. That length of cover is not something a manufacturer offers on a unit it expects to see returned
- 80+ Gold, and independently rated Gold by Cybenetics as well. Cybenetics test across the full load range rather than at three fixed points, which makes it the harder badge of the two to earn
- ATX 3.1 certified, built to absorb the brief power spikes modern graphics cards produce rather than tripping over them, which is precisely what a card of this class does
- 850W gives the 5080 and 9800X3D comfortable headroom, with room left for an overclock
- Fixed cables rather than modular, which in a tower like this makes no practical difference. The supply sits in the floor under a shroud, so the cables this build does not use go into the dead space behind and below, where nothing is visible through the glass
- 🔌 Cabling: Stock black cabling, neatly arranged
Click or tap for deeper spec info
- Visible runs are finished cleanly and the rear chamber is kept tidy but not overtightened, so future upgrades stay straightforward
- Braided cable extensions in your choice of colour are available from the upgrade options, though on a build this deliberately plain most people leave them alone
- 📶 WiFi / Bluetooth / Ethernet: Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4 and 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet, included
Click or tap for deeper spec info
- Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 are built into the ASRock B850 Riptide WiFi. No separate adapter needed, and the aerial is supplied in the box
- Wi-Fi 7 adds the 6GHz band and wider channels, which is usually far less congested than 2.4 and 5GHz if your router supports it
- 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet for a wired connection, which we would still recommend for competitive play
- 🪟 Operating system: As chosen by you from the listing options below. Windows 11 Home (OEM) is recommended.
- 🧹 Setup and optimisation: PC36 High-Class Standard. Full stress test with certificate, bloat-free installation, and BIOS set up properly
Click or tap for deeper spec info
PC36 High-Class Standard, included free with every build
- Ready the moment you open the box. Your PC boots straight into Windows with a local account already set up. No account sign-in wall, no first-run questionnaire, no half-hour of setup before you can use the machine you just bought
- BIOS updated and configured properly: manual fan curves, PBO enabled, EXPO/XMP enabled, Secure Boot enabled
- Vanilla Windows 11 installation if you choose Windows, with no bloatware added by us, and all drivers loaded and ready to go
- Full stress test with certificate. Every system is torture tested on CPU, RAM and GPU before dispatch, and ships with the certificate to prove it
PC36 Premier Optimisation, available in the listing options
- CPU tuning to bring thermals and noise down with minimal performance loss, plus a deeper strip and debloat of Windows
- Includes a proper acoustic pass on the fans already fitted to this case, with curves tuned by ear and under load rather than left on a sensible default. On an air-cooled build in a mesh case this is where most of the available quiet actually comes from
- Worth it if you want the quietest, leanest possible machine and would rather we spent the hours on it than you did
PC36 Ultimate Performance Tune, available in the listing options
- Advanced overclocking: RAM tune, CPU tune and GPU overclock on top of everything in Premier
- This is the tier of build the Ultimate tune exists for. The 9800X3D is unlocked, the RTX 5080 has real headroom above stock, and the cooling and power supply are already specified to support it. If you are going to buy the tune on any PC36 machine, this is one where the money returns something you can measure
- 🛡️ Warranty: 3 years parts & labour (return to base)
Click or tap for deeper spec info
- Standard 3-year coverage included, parts and labour both
- Optional extended warranties in the listing options below
Why don't all parts list a brand and model?
Most of our spec is named exactly. The processor, motherboard, case, cooler and power supply are the models listed, every time.
For memory, storage and graphics cards we give a performance and quality guarantee instead of a model name. Supply on these three moves constantly, and pricing with it. Rather than list a part we might not be able to source next week, we commit to the specification: capacity, speed, timings, endurance class. And for graphics cards, we will always give you the chipset (e.g. RTX 5080) and VRAM (e.g. 16GB) that is listed.
We only use parts from established manufacturers. In practice the difference between two well-made components at the same specification is small enough that most people would never notice it.
If you'd like to know exactly what's going into your machine, ask before you order and we'll tell you. If you'd prefer a particular model, we can usually accommodate that, and you'd pay the difference in cost.

-
The graphics card ships in its own box to protect the PCIe connector in transit, with instructions for fitting it (click or tap to read more)
This PC contains a large and high value graphics card. All graphics cards have a point of weakness at the PCIe connector, and shipping the card in its own box prevents damage that can happen in transit despite our industry-leading packaging. It arrives with simple instructions and fitting it takes a couple of minutes. If you have any queries about this, please contact us. This is without doubt the safest method to ensuring your high performance graphics card arrives pristine.
- Product images are representative photos of a similar spec in the same style. Your PC will look similar but not identical. Our support team can help clarify anything you're unsure of.
-
The walnut front is real wood, so grain and shade vary from one case to the next (click or tap to read more)
Yours will not look identical to the photographs, which is the nature of the material rather than a fault.
- RGB heatspreaders on the RAM are not guaranteed unless the quick add-on is chosen - this is due to industry-wide supply constraints on memory
-
Memory, SSD and graphics card carry a specification guarantee rather than a fixed model (click or tap to read more)
Most parts are named models and will be what is delivered. RAM, SSD and graphics card instead carry a spec guarantee, because current market conditions make stock on those three very variable. This keeps us agile enough to offer good pricing and honest spec lists. If you want clarity on the precise models we will use, drop us a live chat on the day you're ready to purchase and we'll confirm it.
🛠️ Popular upgrade options
- Quick-add upgrades. This listing has a set of one-click upgrades chosen to fit this exact build, each one priced, in the Quick-add Upgrades section on this page. Memory, storage, optimisation, the anti-sag bracket and the extended warranty are in the build options instead. Anything not shown in either place, ask us on live chat and we will price it.

-
Noctua Pure Silence acoustics upgrade: choose it from the quick-add upgrades, or speak with us via live chat.
Click or tap for more info
The most thorough thing we can do to make a machine quiet, and the upgrade this build in particular is suited to. It covers:
- Every fan in the system swapped for Noctua NF-A12x25 G2, case fans and CPU cooler fans alike
- The CPU cooler changed to a Noctua NH-D15 G2 chromax.black
- A specific noise profile set in your BIOS: very quiet fan curves and CPU power handling tuned around them, not just the fans changed and the settings left alone
Two honest caveats. No upgrade makes a PC truly silent, and anyone telling you otherwise is selling something. And because the set uses 120mm fans throughout, the case's 140mm rear fan is replaced with a 120mm, which is a small step down in airflow at the rear in exchange for a considerably quieter machine overall.
Before you consider it, read this. Most people asking us for a quieter machine do not need this upgrade. Premier Optimisation, in the listing options above, tunes the fans already in this case for the quietest operation they are capable of, alongside CPU tuning that brings the heat down at the source. It costs a fraction of the Noctua set and gets you most of the way there. The Noctua upgrade is for people who want the last few percent and know exactly why they want it. If you are not sure which of the two you are, ask us on live chat and we will tell you honestly.
- Storage upgrade to 2TB: available in the listing options below.
Click or tap for more info
Worth taking on a machine at this tier, where 4K game installs and video projects both take real space. 1TB fills faster than it sounds like it should.
- Memory upgrade to 48GB or 64GB: available in the listing options below.
Click or tap for more info
Worth it for heavy creative work, large project files or running virtual machines. For gaming, even with a stream running alongside, 32GB is genuinely enough and the money is better spent elsewhere.
- GPU upgrade to RTX 5090 32GB: choose it from the quick-add upgrades, or speak with us via live chat.
Click or tap for more info
Worth it if you are running 4K at high refresh, using path tracing, or working with large 3D and AI workloads where the 32GB of VRAM is the point. For 4K gaming the 5080 already does the job, and the step up is a large amount of money for a smaller jump than the price difference suggests. Ask us and we will be straight with you about whether your games justify it.
- CPU upgrade to Ryzen 9 9950X3D: available via live chat.
Click or tap for more info
Worth it only if you do heavy productivity work such as rendering, compiling or multi-track video editing. For gaming alone the 9800X3D is as fast, sometimes fractionally faster. We would rather tell you that than sell you the upgrade.
- Braided cable extensions: available from the quick-add upgrades section.
Click or tap for more info
Available in a range of colours if you want the interior to have some contrast. On a build this deliberately understated, plenty of people prefer it without.
🎯 What is this PC best for?
- 4K gaming at ultra settings in modern AAA titles
- Ray tracing and path tracing with DLSS 4 frame generation
- Competitive and esports titles at very high frame rates, where the 9800X3D's cache does the heavy lifting
- Heavy creative work: editing, rendering and streaming alongside gaming
- Anyone who wants this much performance without lighting, noise, or a machine that looks like a machine
