One of our bugbears at PC36 is a computer that looks highly attractive, but doesn't have the spec to back it up. That's why we made Diskotek - Upon booting the system you're greeted with RGB styling and dual-glass panelling, but underneath lies a solid gaming spec worthy of the aesthetic. With a 16GB graphics card, 32GB of system RAM, and a platform that will let you slot in any Ryzen AM5 CPU in future - this is the one where you can have your cake and eat it too.

This PC is already built and ready to ship. The catch? Just one in stock, and it will not be restocked. Our already-built PCs take advantage of supplier deals, which we pass onto you, but aren't repeatable ad infinitum

🧬 Built to last, designed to evolve

This system is built on AMD's latest AM5 platform, which offers one of the best upgrade paths available today. That means you can start with a great processor now and still have room to move up the stack later, while keeping the same motherboard, case, power supply and most of your core components. On this build that upgrade path is unusually wide open: the board's fourteen phase power design and the 280mm liquid cooler will both hold anything AMD currently sell on AM5, including the Ryzen 9 parts, and the power supply has been sized to take a considerably faster graphics card without a rebuild. Two memory slots and two M.2 slots are free as well. Very little about this machine is a dead end.

  • 6 cores, 12 threads of Zen 5, 3.9GHz base and 5.4GHz boost, with 32MB of L3 cache. 65W TDP, though boost behaviour normally takes it past that and it will pull around 88W with every core loaded
  • Well matched to the graphics card in front of it. At 1440p this machine is limited by the card rather than the processor in essentially every game, which is exactly where you want the balance to sit at this price. Spending more on the processor here would not have bought frames
  • Zen 5 single-thread performance is strong, which is what competitive shooters at high refresh actually depend on
  • Around 88W flat out, running under a 280mm liquid cooler. That is a deliberate mismatch. It means the processor never gets close to a thermal limit, the fans barely have to work, and the cooler is sized for whatever goes in the socket next rather than for what is in it now. It also gives PBO the thermal room to push power and clocks higher still, without throttling
  • Integrated Radeon graphics are on board, which sounds irrelevant until the day a graphics card needs sending away and you would rather still have a working PC

  • A 280mm radiator carrying two 140mm Prisma PWM ARGB fans, running 500 to 1700rpm, mounted in the top of the case
  • Considerably more cooler than this processor asks for, on purpose. Even boosting past its 65W rating to around 88W with every core loaded, the radiator is barely being asked for anything, and running well inside its capability is what makes it quiet: the fans sit at the bottom of their range in normal use instead of ramping to hold a temperature. It is also why a Ryzen 9 later is a straight swap rather than a cooler purchase as well
  • Both the fans and the pump cap are lit, with the pump face tinted so the logo glows rather than glares. The radiator carries its own combined ARGB and PWM hub, so lighting and fan control run down a single cable instead of a loom of splitters
  • The pump runs under PWM control and is set by hand before dispatch rather than left on a default curve

  • DDR5-6000 on AM5 is the setting, not a compromise. It is the speed at which the memory controller runs in step with the memory rather than at half its rate, and it is where the platform is fastest. Faster kits with bigger numbers on the box often measure slower in games for exactly that reason
  • 32GB rather than 16GB is the quiet headline of this build. Machines at this price almost always ship with 16GB. Thirty-two is what stops you thinking about it again: a game, a browser with too many tabs, Discord and a capture running together, and still room for creative work
  • Two of the four slots are free, so 64GB later is an addition rather than a replacement

  • RDNA 4 with 32 compute units and 16GB of GDDR6 on a 128-bit bus, backed by 32MB of Infinity Cache. 160W board power, factory overclocked above AMD's reference clocks
  • The memory is the headline here. 16GB at this price is unusual, and it is what stops the card running out of room in texture-heavy games at 1440p while cards with 8GB start stuttering. Video memory is also the specification that ages worst, because you cannot add to it later. Buying a card with enough of it is the single most effective thing you can do for how long a machine stays comfortable
  • Comfortable 1440p at high settings in modern titles, and very high frame rates in competitive games at 1080p or 1440p. 4K is reachable in a good many games with FSR 4 doing some of the work, though we would call this a 1440p machine and mean it
  • Supports FSR 4, AMD's machine-learning upscaler, which is a real step up from FSR 3 and is limited to RDNA 4 cards like this one. It is the reason a card at this price still has life in it in two years
  • AV1 encoding for streaming and recording at a much better quality-to-bitrate ratio than older codecs
  • Being straight about ray tracing: Radeon cards are still behind NVIDIA here, and this one is no exception. Ray traced games are playable at 1440p with upscaling on, but if heavy ray tracing is your priority rather than raw frame rate, say so on live chat and we will point you at an NVIDIA build instead

  • The front and side glass panels meet at the corner with no pillar between them, so the build is viewed as one open space rather than through a window. This is the reason the machine was built in this case and it is what the photographs are for

  • The side intake is a single unibody frame holding three 120mm reverse-blade ARGB fans, which is a much better piece of engineering than three separate fans in a row: one frame, one cable, no gaps between the fans for air to escape through, and reverse blades so the lit side faces you rather than the mesh

  • An ARGB strip runs along the shroud as well, and all of it synchronises to the motherboard so the machine lights as one piece rather than as several parts that happen to be lit
  • Being straight about expectations: a 160W graphics card and a 65W processor in a full ATX case with six fans is a genuinely easy cooling job. This machine is quiet in normal use and stays composed under load, and that is a function of the heat being modest rather than of the fans being loud

  Six ARGB fans, a lit pump cap, lit memory and a strip along the shroud. That is the point of the build. It is also more light than some people want in a bedroom at night, so it is worth knowing that all of it is under motherboard control, every part of it can be dimmed, set to a single colour or switched off entirely, and none of it affects how the machine performs.
