⬛ Bloc Two
A small box that has stopped behaving like one
The Ryzen 7 7800X3D is the processor people settle on once they have stopped thinking about price and started thinking about frame rates, and it almost always turns up inside a full tower. Bloc Two puts it on the desk instead, next to an RTX 5070 12GB, in a chassis 312.5mm tall.
Making that work quietly is the interesting part, and it's where the build actually happens. A dual tower cooler that handles far more heat than this chip makes. A narrow motherboard chosen for the room it leaves behind the tray. A fully modular supply so only the cables this build uses are ever in the case, and 3 fans arranged around how the CH260 really moves air rather than how a larger case would. None of that shows in a spec list, and all of it is why the machine stays calm.
The result is high refresh 1440p gaming from something that doesn't take over the room it sits in. The lighting is there if you want it, and turns off completely if you'd rather it didn't.
🧬 Built to last, designed to evolve
This system is built on AMD's modern AM5 platform, which offers one of the best CPU upgrade paths available today. That means you can start with a great processor now and still have room to move up the stack later, while keeping the same motherboard, case, power supply and most of your core components. GPU, storage and cooling are all easily upgradable so the system can grow with your needs over time.
📃 Specifications
- 🧠 CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
Click or tap for deeper spec info
- 8 cores, 16 threads of Zen 4, with 96MB of total cache thanks to AMD's 3D V-Cache
- That cache is the whole point. Games spend a lot of their time waiting on memory, and a chip that can keep more of the game world close to the cores spends less time waiting. It is why the 7800X3D beats processors that cost considerably more in gaming, while drawing less power doing it
- 120W TDP, and with every core loaded it boosts past that as any modern Ryzen does. Under a gaming load, which is what this build exists for, it settles at around 60 to 80W. In a compact case that low gaming draw is worth as much as the performance: less heat going in means less noise coming out
- AM5 keeps the upgrade path open. A 9800X3D drops straight into this board when you want it
- ❄️ CPU cooler: Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 Digital, dual tower air cooler
Click or tap for deeper spec info
- Dual tower, 6 heat pipes, twin 120mm fans. That is far more cooler than a 7800X3D needs, even on an all-core load that takes it past its rated draw, and the surplus is exactly the point: the fans never have to spin up to deal with it
- Digital display on the top showing live CPU temperature, which is genuinely useful on a machine that sits on your desk rather than under it
- Air rather than liquid here is a deliberate choice, not a cost saving. There is no pump to fail, nothing to run dry in five years, and on a 7800X3D an AIO buys you very little. If you want liquid cooling for the look, a 240mm option is available below
- 🔲 Motherboard: ASRock B850M-X WiFi R2.0 (micro-ATX)
Click or tap for deeper spec info
- 6 phase VCore with Dr.MOS, under a heatsink. Plain English translation: comfortably enough for any Ryzen 7, including this one, with the heatsink meaning VRM thermal throttling is not a realistic concern. Most Ryzen 9 chips also run happily on it, though an unrestricted Ryzen 9 is the one case where the board rather than the processor would become the limit.
- Chosen partly because it is a narrow board, which in this particular case makes a real difference to cable routing. More room behind the tray means a tidier build and better airflow, and in a chassis this size that is not a cosmetic point
- PCIe 5.0 x16 for the graphics card, so the slot is ready for the generation of cards after this one
- Two M.2 slots, one PCIe Gen5 x4 and one Gen4 x4, so a second drive can be added later at full speed
- Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2 and 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet onboard
- PC36 only uses motherboards chosen for stability and longevity. See our Trusted brands page
- 📏 Memory / RAM: 32GB (2×16GB) DDR5-6000 CL36
Click or tap for deeper spec info
- DDR5-6000 CL36 is the sweet spot for AM5. It is the speed AMD's memory controller runs in its most efficient mode, and pushing past it usually costs more than it returns
- EXPO is enabled in BIOS before the machine leaves us. A surprising number of prebuilt PCs ship with fast memory running at slow default speeds because nobody turned the profile on
- Dual channel across two sticks, which is what the 7800X3D wants. 32GB is the right amount for gaming with a browser, Discord and a stream running alongside
- Specification guaranteed, model may vary. Happy to confirm the exact part on request
- 💾 Storage: 1TB NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD (QLC)
Click or tap for deeper spec info
- PCIe 4.0 speeds for quick boots and fast game loading. In normal use it feels identical to any other modern NVMe drive
- QLC is the flash type, and it is what keeps a 1TB drive affordable at this price. The one place you would notice it is writing very large files back to back, where sustained transfers of tens of gigabytes slow down once the drive's fast cache fills. Gaming, browsing and everyday work never do this
- If you edit video regularly, the 2TB upgrade below is worth taking, and we would also suggest asking us about a TLC drive on live chat
- The second M.2 slot stays free, so adding storage later is straightforward and does not mean replacing anything
- Specification guaranteed, model may vary. Happy to confirm the exact part on request
- 🎮 Graphics card: NVIDIA RTX 5070 12GB
Click or tap for deeper spec info
- A high refresh 1440p card. In most modern titles at high settings it sits comfortably above 100fps, and in competitive games considerably higher than that
- DLSS 4 with multi frame generation, which is where a lot of the headroom in demanding titles now comes from
- Straight answer on the 12GB: it is enough for 1440p today, and enough for 4K if you leave textures at high rather than ultra. Ultra textures at 4K is the one place you would run into it. If 4K is your actual goal rather than an occasional visit, the RTX 5070 Ti 16GB upgrade below is the honest recommendation
- The chipset and VRAM are guaranteed: it will always be an RTX 5070 with 12GB. The AIB brand varies with availability, and we only use established manufacturers. See our Trusted brands page for more info
- 🧰 Case: Deepcool CH260, compact micro-ATX airflow chassis
Click or tap for deeper spec info
- Full mesh front and a tempered glass side panel, so the build is on show without the airflow paying for it. The power supply mounts at the front of the chassis rather than the floor, which is what shapes the fan layout described below
- 438mm deep, 225mm wide and 312.5mm tall. That is a machine that sits on a desk rather than needing floor space, without being so small that building in it means compromises
- Takes graphics cards up to 413mm with no front fans fitted, and CPU coolers up to 174mm tall, which is far more clearance than a case this size suggests
- Supports up to a 360mm radiator in the top, so liquid cooling stays on the table later
- Three removable dust filters, which on a compact high airflow case matters more than it does on a big one
- Also supports rear-connector motherboards, with 29.6mm of cable clearance behind the tray, if you ever rebuild in it yourself
- 🌬️ Case cooling: 3 × 120mm ARGB fans, fitted by us. Rear intake, twin top exhaust
Click or tap for deeper spec info
- The CH260 ships with no fans at all. We fit three as standard, because a mesh case with nothing moving air through it is just a box with holes in
- Air runs back to front in this chassis rather than the usual front to back, and that is not a compromise, it is how the case is designed. The power supply occupies the space a front intake would normally use, so cool air is drawn in at the rear and the CPU cooler's own fans carry it forward through the fins
- The two top fans sit ahead of the cooler towers rather than directly above them. That placement is deliberate. Mounted over the cooler they would pull cool air away before it reached the fins; moved forward they take the hot air after it has done its work, and exhaust it out of the top
- ARGB as standard, and the lighting can be turned off entirely if you prefer a blackout look. The fans themselves are black either way, so switching the lighting off does not leave you with something that looks unfinished
- Fan curves are tuned before dispatch, and airflow is verified through our standard stress testing rather than assumed
- ⚡ Power supply: Corsair RM850e 850W 80+ Gold, fully modular
Click or tap for deeper spec info
- Includes a native 12V-2x6 PCIe 5.1 cable. That is the connector current and next-generation graphics cards use, so a future GPU upgrade needs no adaptor and no dongle: you plug the card straight in
- 850W against a build that draws nowhere near it. That is deliberate: it means the graphics card can be upgraded as far as an RTX 5080 without touching the power supply, which matters more in a compact case where swapping parts is fiddlier
- ATX 3.1 and fully modular, so only the cables this build actually uses are installed. In a case this size that is worth real airflow
- Backed by a 7 year Corsair warranty
- 🔌 Cabling: All black stock cabling, neatly arranged
Click or tap for deeper spec info
- The power supply's own cables are used throughout, all black, with no adaptors or splitters anywhere in the build
- Cable routing matters more in a compact case than a large one, since there is less room to hide anything. The visible runs are finished cleanly and the rear is kept tidy but not overtightened, so future upgrades stay straightforward
- 📶 WiFi / Bluetooth / Ethernet: Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2 and 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet, included
Click or tap for deeper spec info
- Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 are built into the ASRock B850M-X WiFi R2.0. No separate adapter needed, and the aerial is supplied in the box
- Wi-Fi 6E adds the 6GHz band, which is usually far less congested than 2.4 and 5GHz if your router supports it
- 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet for a wired connection, which we would still recommend for competitive play
- 🪟 Operating system: As chosen by you from the listing options below. Windows 11 Home (OEM) is recommended.
- 🧹 Setup and optimisation: PC36 High-Class Standard. Full stress test with certificate, bloat-free installation, and BIOS set up properly

- BIOS updated and configured properly: manual fan curves, PBO enabled, EXPO/XMP enabled, Secure Boot enabled
- Vanilla Windows 11 installation if you choose Windows, with no bloatware added by us, and all drivers loaded and ready to go
- Full stress test with certificate. Every system is torture tested on CPU, RAM and GPU before dispatch, and ships with the certificate to prove it
PC36 Premier Optimisation, available in the listing options
- CPU tuning to bring thermals and noise down with minimal performance loss, plus a deeper strip and debloat of Windows
- Worth considering on a compact build in particular, since noise is the thing you notice most when the machine is sitting on your desk rather than under it
PC36 Ultimate Performance Tune, available in the listing options
- Advanced overclocking: RAM tune, CPU tune and GPU overclock on top of everything in Premier
- This is the tier where that starts to pay off. There is real headroom in an RTX 5070 and in DDR5-6000, and the 7800X3D responds well to a curve optimiser tune. Ask us on live chat if you are unsure and we will tell you honestly what to expect from your spec
- 🛡️ Warranty: 3 years parts & labour (return to base)
Click or tap for deeper spec info
- Standard 3-year coverage included, parts and labour both
- Optional extended warranties in the listing options below
Why don't all parts list a brand and model?
Most of our spec is named exactly. The processor, motherboard, case, cooler and power supply are the models listed, every time.
For memory, storage and graphics cards we give a performance and quality guarantee instead of a model name. Supply on these three moves constantly, and pricing with it. Rather than list a part we might not be able to source next week, we commit to the specification: capacity, speed, timings, endurance class. And for graphics cards, we will always give you the chipset (e.g. RTX 5070) and VRAM (e.g. 12GB) that is listed.
We only use parts from established manufacturers. In practice the difference between two well-made components at the same specification is small enough that most people would never notice it.
If you'd like to know exactly what's going into your machine, ask before you order and we'll tell you. If you'd prefer a particular model, we can usually accommodate that, and you'd pay the difference in cost.
👁️ Transparency notes
- Product images are representative photos of a similar spec in the same style. Your PC will look similar but not identical. Our support team can help clarify anything you're unsure of.
- RGB heatspreaders on the RAM are not guaranteed unless the quick add-on is chosen - this is due to industry-wide supply constraints on memory

If you upgrade to an RTX 5080, bear in mind shipping changes (click or tap to read more)
That system contains a bulky and highly valuable graphics card, so we ship the graphics card in a separate box with simple instructions showing you how to install it. All graphics cards have a point of weakness at the PCIe connector, and separate shipping prevents damage that can occur despite our packaging. The card is still built into your system, stress tested in it, and then removed for transit. If you have any queries about this, please contact us.

Memory, SSD and graphics card carry a specification guarantee rather than a fixed model (click or tap to read more)
Most parts are named models and will be what is delivered. RAM, SSD and graphics card instead carry a spec guarantee, because current market conditions make stock on those three very variable. This keeps us agile enough to offer good pricing and honest spec lists. If you want clarity on the precise models we will use, drop us a live chat on the day you're ready to purchase and we'll confirm it.
🛠️ Popular upgrade options
- Quick-add upgrades. This listing has a set of one-click upgrades chosen to fit this exact build, each one priced, in the Quick-add Upgrades section on this page. Memory, storage, optimisation, the anti-sag bracket and the extended warranty are in the build options instead. Anything not shown in either place, ask us on live chat and we will price it.
- Need a monitor, keyboard or mouse? Scroll past the add to cart button. We've paired specific peripherals to get the best out of this build.
- Storage upgrade to 2TB: available in the listing options below.
Click or tap for more info
The upgrade most people are glad they took. Modern games are enormous, and 1TB fills faster than it sounds like it should. Worth it if you keep more than about four or five large titles installed at once.
- Memory upgrade to 48GB or 64GB: available in the listing options below.
Click or tap for more info
Worth it for heavy creative work, large project files or running virtual machines. For gaming, even with a stream running alongside, 32GB is genuinely enough and the money is better spent elsewhere.
- GPU upgrade to RTX 5070 Ti 16GB: choose it from the quick-add upgrades, or speak with us via live chat.
Click or tap for more info
The upgrade we would point you at first if 4K is the goal. The extra 4GB of VRAM is as much of the story as the raw performance, since that is what keeps a card comfortable as game textures grow. At 1440p the RTX 5070 is already ahead of most monitors, so this is an upgrade for where you are heading rather than where you are.
- GPU upgrade to RTX 5080 16GB: available via live chat.
Click or tap for more info
A serious step up, and comfortably a 4K card. Worth knowing before you choose it: the 850W power supply already handles it, but shipping changes, as explained in the transparency notes above.
- CPU upgrade to Ryzen 7 9800X3D: choose it from the quick-add upgrades, or speak with us via live chat.
Click or tap for more info
Worth it if you play competitive titles at very high frame rates, where the processor rather than the graphics card sets the ceiling. In most single player games at 1440p the difference is small, because the RTX 5070 is doing the limiting. Take the GPU upgrade first if you are choosing between them.
- Cooling upgrade to a 240mm AIO liquid cooler: choose it from the quick-add upgrades, or speak with us via live chat.
Click or tap for more info
Worth it mainly for the look, and for clearing the space above the motherboard. On a 7800X3D the Peerless Assassin already keeps temperatures and noise where they should be, so this is an aesthetic upgrade rather than a thermal one, and we would rather say so than sell it as a performance gain.
- White finish: available by request via live chat.

The CH260 comes in white as well as black, and we can build Bloc Two either way. Tell us what you are after and we will confirm what is in stock and what it changes on the price.
🎯 What is this PC best for?
