Most gaming PCs are designed on the quiet assumption that they will end up on the floor, out of sight. Bloc One is not. It's a compact mesh-fronted box meant to sit on the desk beside the monitor, close enough that you notice how little noise it makes and how little room it takes.

Behind the mesh it plays modern games at 1080p properly, and stretches to 1440p when you ask it to: a Ryzen 5 7500F and an RTX 5060 8GB, with 3 fans fitted by us because the CH260 doesn't ship with any. Plain black ones, no lighting. This is a machine meant to look like part of the desk rather than something on display.

The rest follows from that. Both the processor and the card were chosen as much for how little heat they put into a small case as for what they do, because at this size that is the only reliable route to a computer you can happily sit next to.

This system is built on AMD's modern AM5 platform, which offers one of the best CPU upgrade paths available today. That means you can start with a great processor now and still have room to move up the stack later, while keeping the same motherboard, case, power supply and most of your core components. GPU, storage and cooling are all easily upgradable so the system can grow with your needs over time.

  • 16GB is the right amount at this tier. It is enough for modern games with a browser and Discord open alongside, and spending more on memory here would take money away from the part that actually sets your frame rates

A second stick adds a meaningful amount to a machine at this price, and fitting one is how we hold the build where it is without taking anything out of the graphics card

  • PCIe 4.0 speeds for quick boots and fast game loading. In normal use it feels identical to any other modern NVMe drive
  • QLC is the flash type, and it is what keeps a 1TB drive affordable. The one place you would notice it is writing very large files back to back, where sustained transfers of tens of gigabytes slow down once the drive's fast cache fills. Gaming, browsing and everyday work never do this

The power supply occupies the space a front intake would normally use, so cool air is drawn in at the rear and the CPU cooler's own fan carries it forward through the fins
