🛡️ Aegis One

A machine you will catch yourself looking at

Most PCs at this price are built to be hidden under a desk. Aegis One is built into the Lian Li Vector V100R, which runs tempered glass across the front and the side and lifts the whole system onto a raised platform, lit from within. It is meant to sit where you can see it, and it doesn't need an excuse to be there.

Behind the glass the specification is straightforward and well judged. A Ryzen 5 7500F and a Radeon RX 9060 XT make short work of high-FPS 1080p and settle confidently into 1440p, and the card carries 16GB of memory, which is what keeps it capable for the games you buy in two years rather than only the ones you own today.

This is where the Aegis range starts, and none of it is a dead end. The AM5 socket takes any current Ryzen, the roof of the case has room for a 360mm radiator, and the power supply has headroom left for a bigger graphics card. Every one is built, stress tested and tuned by hand before it ships.

🧬 Built to last, designed to evolve

This system is built on AMD's modern AM5 platform, which offers one of the best CPU upgrade paths available today. That means you can start with a great processor now and still have room to move up the stack later, while keeping the same motherboard, case, power supply and most of your core components. GPU, storage and cooling are all easily upgradable so the system can grow with your needs over time.

📃 Specifications

  • 🧠 CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7500F
Click or tap for deeper spec info
    • 6 cores, 12 threads of Zen 4, and one of the best-value gaming CPUs currently available on AM5
    • 65W TDP on paper, and nearer 88W in practice once every core is boosting, because that is what a modern Ryzen does when the cooling is there. It is still a small heat load for a tower cooler, which is why the fan never has to work hard for it
    • Strong single-core performance for high-FPS gaming, with the multi-core headroom to handle streaming and creative work alongside
    • Pairs naturally with the RX 9060 XT. Neither component holds the other back at 1080p or 1440p
    • AM5 means the upgrade path stays open. A 7800X3D or 9800X3D drops straight into this board when you want more
  • ❄️ CPU cooler: Thermalright Assassin X 120 Refined SE ARGB, single tower air cooler
Click or tap for deeper spec info
    • 4 × 6mm nickel-plated copper heatpipes making direct contact with the processor, 51 aluminium fins, and a 120mm ARGB PWM fan
    • Rated to 225W, against a processor that peaks around 88W. That is not a cooler coping, it is a cooler with the load well inside it, and a fan that stays slow is the audible result
    • 148mm tall, so it clears the V100R's 178mm ceiling with room to spare, and it does not overhang the DIMM slots if you want to add memory later
    • The ARGB fan ties into the case lighting for a coherent look behind the glass
    • Thermalright TF4 thermal paste, and 3 years of warranty on the cooler in its own right
    • If you would prefer liquid cooling, a 240mm AIO upgrade is available. See the upgrade options below
  • 🔲 Motherboard: MSI PRO B850-S WIFI6E (ATX)
Click or tap for deeper spec info
    • 12+2+1 phase DRPS power delivery with a digital PWM controller, fed by two CPU power connectors. Plain English translation: far more power delivery than this build asks for, and enough to run any AM5 Ryzen at full tilt years from now without the board becoming the weak link. MSI do not publish an amperage figure for these stages and we are not going to invent one
    • AMD B850 on a full-size ATX board. Four DDR5 slots supporting up to 256GB and rated beyond DDR5-8200 with EXPO, so memory can be expanded later without replacing the kit you already have
    • PCIe 4.0 x16 for the graphics card, in a steel-reinforced slot, with a tool-free release clip so the card can be removed without reaching blind past the cooler. Two further slots below it
    • Two M.2 slots, both wired straight to the processor: one PCIe 5.0 with a heatsink, one PCIe 4.0. One is used here, leaving room for a second drive. Because both come off the CPU rather than the chipset, adding that drive costs you nothing elsewhere: all four SATA ports and every PCIe slot stay live, which is not true of every board at this price
    • 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3, with the aerial supplied in the box
    • Eight USB ports on the rear and not one of them is USB 2.0: a 10Gbps USB-C, three 10Gbps USB-A and four at 5Gbps, plus a 10Gbps USB-C header for the front panel. HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4, four SATA ports, Realtek ALC897 audio
    • Flash BIOS Button, so the board can be updated with nothing fitted but the power supply, and EZ Debug LEDs that name the unhappy component rather than leaving you guessing
    • PC36 only uses motherboards chosen for stability and longevity. See our Trusted brands page
  • 📏 Memory / RAM: 32GB (2×16GB) DDR5-6000 CL36
Click or tap for deeper spec info
    • EXPO-tuned dual channel DDR5-6000, the speed Ryzen responds to best on AM5
    • 32GB provides comfortable headroom for gaming, streaming and multitasking without bottlenecking elsewhere
    • Specification guaranteed, model may vary. Happy to confirm the exact part on request
  • 💾 Storage: 1TB NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD (QLC)
Click or tap for deeper spec info
    • PCIe 4.0 speeds for quick boots and fast game loading. In normal use it feels identical to any other modern NVMe drive
    • QLC is the flash type, and it is what keeps a 1TB drive affordable. The one place you would notice it is writing very large files back to back, where sustained transfers of tens of gigabytes slow down once the drive's fast cache fills. Gaming, browsing and everyday work never do this
    • If you regularly move large video files, say so on live chat before you order and we will talk you through the alternatives
    • Specification guaranteed, model may vary. Happy to confirm the exact part on request
  • 🎮 Graphics card: Radeon RX 9060 XT 16GB
Click or tap for deeper spec info
    • AMD's strong mid-range card, with confident 1440p performance and comfortable headroom in competitive titles
    • 16GB of VRAM is the standout here. Modern games are increasingly memory-hungry, and that buffer is what keeps this card capable for years rather than months
    • FSR 4 support adds meaningful frame rate headroom in supported titles
    • The chipset and VRAM are guaranteed: it will always be an RX 9060 XT with 16GB. The AIB brand varies with availability, and we only use established manufacturers. See our Trusted brands page for more info
  • 🧰 Case: Lian Li Vector V100R
Click or tap for deeper spec info
    • 446 × 235.5 × 484.65mm, and it takes ATX, micro-ATX and Mini-ITX boards
    • Panoramic tempered glass across the front and side, with a raised display platform that lifts the build rather than hiding it
    • Integrated RGB strip that ties into the fans and cooler for a single, coherent lighting scheme
    • Supports graphics cards up to 420mm and CPU coolers up to 178mm tall, well clear of anything in this build and with room to grow
    • The top mount takes up to a 360mm radiator, which is what makes the AIO upgrade straightforward later
    • Alternative colourways are often available by request via live chat
  • 🌬️ Case cooling: 4 × 120mm ARGB fans included with the case (3 side intake, 1 rear exhaust)
Click or tap for deeper spec info
    • Three intake fans mounted on the side panel feed cool air directly onto the graphics card, with a rear exhaust pulling heat straight back out
    • Four ARGB case fans for controllable lighting without compromising thermals, plus the 120mm ARGB fan on the CPU cooler
    • Fan curves are tuned before dispatch, and airflow is verified through our standard stress testing rather than assumed
  • Power supply: Deepcool PL750D 750W 80+ Bronze
Click or tap for deeper spec info
    • Includes a native 12V-2x6 PCIe 5.1 cable. That is the connector current and next-generation graphics cards use, so a future GPU upgrade needs no adaptor and no dongle: you plug the card straight in
    • Cybenetics ETA Silver rated, an independent efficiency measurement taken across the full load range, which in practice is a more useful signal than the 80+ badge on its own
    • 750W of headroom for the current spec, with room for a GPU upgrade later
    • Always from reputable, long-warranty brands. See our Trusted brands page
    • An 850W 80+ Gold upgrade is available if you want higher efficiency and more headroom
  • 🔌 Cabling: Stock black cabling, neatly arranged
Click or tap for deeper spec info
    • Visible runs finished cleanly. The rear chamber is kept tidy but not overtightened, which makes future upgrades easier
    • Braided cable extensions in your choice of colour are available via the upgrade options
  • 📶 WiFi / Bluetooth / Ethernet: Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3 and 2.5G Ethernet, included
Click or tap for deeper spec info
    • Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 are built into the MSI PRO B850-S WIFI6E. No separate adapter needed, and the aerial is supplied in the box
    • Wi-Fi 6E adds the 6GHz band, which is usually far less congested than 2.4 and 5GHz if your router supports it
    • 2.5 Gigabit wired Ethernet, which we would still recommend over wireless for competitive play. To be plain about what that buys you: the extra bandwidth will not make a game feel different, because wired is about latency and consistency rather than speed. Where it earns its place is moving large files to a NAS or another machine on your network
  • 🪟 Operating system: As chosen by you from the listing options below. Windows 11 Home (OEM) is recommended.
  • 🧹 Setup and optimisation: PC36 High-Class Standard. Full stress test with certificate, bloat-free installation, and BIOS set up properly
Click or tap for deeper spec info

PC36 High-Class Standard, included free with every build

    • Ready the moment you open the box. Your PC boots straight into Windows with a local account already set up. No account sign-in wall, no first-run questionnaire, no half-hour of setup before you can use the machine you just bought
    • BIOS updated and configured properly: manual fan curves, PBO enabled, EXPO/XMP enabled, Secure Boot enabled
    • Vanilla Windows 11 installation if you choose Windows, with no bloatware added by us, and all drivers loaded and ready to go
    • Full stress test with certificate. Every system is torture tested on CPU, RAM and GPU before dispatch, and ships with the certificate to prove it

PC36 Premier Optimisation, available in the listing options

    • CPU tuning to bring thermals and noise down with minimal performance loss, plus a deeper strip and debloat of Windows
    • Worth it if you want the quietest, leanest possible machine and would rather we spent the hours on it than you did

PC36 Ultimate Performance Tune, available in the listing options

    • Advanced overclocking: RAM tune, CPU tune and GPU overclock on top of everything in Premier
    • Best suited to higher-end builds, where there is meaningful headroom to unlock. On a build at this tier the gains are real but modest, so most buyers here are better served by the Standard or Premier options. Ask us on live chat if you are unsure and we will tell you honestly whether it is worth it for your spec
  • 🛡️ Warranty: 3 years parts & labour (return to base)
Click or tap for deeper spec info
    • Standard 3-year coverage included, parts and labour both
    • Optional extended warranties in the listing options below
Why don't all parts list a brand and model?

Most of our spec is named exactly. The processor, motherboard, case, cooler and power supply are the models listed, every time.

For memory, storage and graphics cards we give a performance and quality guarantee instead of a model name. Supply on these three moves constantly, and pricing with it. Rather than list a part we might not be able to source next week, we commit to the specification: capacity, speed, timings, endurance class. And for graphics cards, we will always give you the chipset (e.g. Radeon RX 9060 XT) and VRAM (e.g. 16GB) that is listed.

We only use parts from established manufacturers. In practice the difference between two well-made components at the same specification is small enough that most people would never notice it.

If you'd like to know exactly what's going into your machine, ask before you order and we'll tell you. If you'd prefer a particular model, we can usually accommodate that, and you'd pay the difference in cost.

👁️ Transparency notes

  • Product images are representative photos of a similar spec in the same style. Your PC will look similar but not identical. Our support team can help clarify anything you're unsure of.
  • Memory, SSD and graphics card carry a specification guarantee rather than a fixed model (click or tap to read more)

Most parts are named models and will be what is delivered. RAM, SSD and graphics card instead carry a spec guarantee, because current market conditions make stock on those three very variable. This keeps us agile enough to offer good pricing and honest spec lists. If you want clarity on the precise models we will use, drop us a live chat on the day you're ready to purchase and we'll confirm it.

🛠️ Popular upgrade options

Worth it if you want lower CPU temperatures, quieter operation under load, or a cleaner showcase look through the glass. It also gives you more headroom if you plan to step up to a higher-tier CPU later.

  • CPU upgrade, Ryzen 5 7500F to Ryzen 7 7800X3D: available from the quick-add upgrades section.
Click or tap for more info

A significant step up in gaming performance, particularly in CPU-sensitive and competitive titles. Worth it if high frame rates are your priority, or if you want the strongest gaming CPU on AM5 without changing platform.

  • Braided cable extensions: available from the quick-add upgrades section.
Click or tap for more info

Worth it if you want the interior to match the showcase aesthetic of the Vector V100R, since the panoramic glass leaves the cable runs on show. Choose your colours by leaving a note on your order or contacting us via live chat.

  • PSU upgrade, 750W Bronze to 850W Gold: available from the quick-add upgrades section.
Click or tap for more info

Worth it for higher efficiency, quieter operation, and extra headroom if you plan to move up to a more demanding GPU down the line.
