🛡️ Aegis Two
Strength and speed
Aegis Two is the Aegis build most people should be looking at. The Ryzen 7 7800X3D is the processor that made 3D V-Cache famous and is still one of the best gaming chips you can buy, and the RTX 5070 pairs with it to make 1440p ultra a settled question rather than a negotiation. A 240mm AIO keeps the whole thing quiet under load, and the Lian Li Vector V100R's panoramic glass means the build is worth looking at as well as listening to. It steps into 4K with tuned settings too, which we will be straight with you about further down.
🧬 Built to last, designed to evolve
This system is built on AMD's modern AM5 platform, which offers one of the best CPU upgrade paths available today. That means you can start with a great processor now and still have room to move up the stack later, while keeping the same motherboard, case, power supply and most of your core components. GPU, storage and cooling are all easily upgradable so the system can grow with your needs over time.
📃 Specifications
- 🧠 CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
Click or tap for deeper spec info
- 8 cores, 16 threads, with 96MB of 3D V-Cache. That stacked cache is why this chip beats processors with higher clock speeds in games: more of what the game needs sits close to the cores instead of being fetched from memory
- The CPU that made 3D V-Cache famous, and still one of the best gaming processors available. In competitive shooters and simulation games especially, it is the part doing the heavy lifting
- Strong for streaming and content creation alongside gaming, without the machine feeling stretched
- AM5 means the upgrade path stays open. A 9800X3D drops straight into this board when you want more
- ❄️ CPU cooler: Thermalright Aqua Elite V6 240mm AIO liquid cooler
Click or tap for deeper spec info
- 240mm radiator with two 120mm PWM fans, top-mounted so heat leaves the case directly rather than being pushed around inside it
- The 7800X3D is not a hot chip to begin with. Giving it a 240mm AIO means the fans rarely need to spin up, so the machine stays quiet under sustained load rather than only at idle
- A 360mm radiator upgrade is available if you want the absolute maximum headroom. See the upgrade options below
- 🔲 Motherboard: Gigabyte B650 Eagle AX (ATX)
Click or tap for deeper spec info
- 12-phase teamed Vcore VRM. Plain English translation: overkill power handling, which means any socket AM5 CPU will run beautifully in this motherboard if you choose to upgrade later. The board will not be the limiting factor when you move up to a 9800X3D
- PCIe 5.0 x16 for the graphics card, so the slot is ready for the generation of cards after this one as well as the RTX 5070 fitted today
- Four DDR5 slots, so memory can be expanded later without replacing the kit you already have
- Three M.2 slots, one of them PCIe 5.0, leaving room for two more drives beyond the one fitted
- Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 onboard, plus Gigabit Ethernet
- PC36 only uses motherboards chosen for stability and longevity. See our Trusted brands page
- 📏 Memory / RAM: 32GB (2×16GB) DDR5-6000 CL36
Click or tap for deeper spec info
- EXPO-tuned dual channel DDR5-6000, the speed Ryzen responds to best on AM5
- 32GB gives comfortable headroom for gaming with a browser, Discord and a capture running alongside, without paying for capacity that sits idle
- Specification guaranteed, model may vary. Happy to confirm the exact part on request
- 💾 Storage: 1TB NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD (QLC)
Click or tap for deeper spec info
- PCIe 4.0 speeds for quick boots and fast game loading. In normal use it feels identical to any other modern NVMe drive
- QLC is the flash type, and it is what keeps a 1TB drive affordable. The one place you would notice it is writing very large files back to back, where sustained transfers of tens of gigabytes slow down once the drive's fast cache fills. Gaming, browsing and everyday work never do this
- If you regularly move large video files, say so on live chat before you order and we will talk you through the alternatives
- Specification guaranteed, model may vary. Happy to confirm the exact part on request
- 🎮 Graphics card: NVIDIA RTX 5070 12GB
Click or tap for deeper spec info
- A strong 1440p card with real headroom. At high and ultra settings in modern AAA titles it does not need talking up
- DLSS 4 with frame generation, which is what keeps ray traced games comfortably playable rather than a slideshow
- On 4K, the straight answer: it manages it well with tuned settings, and the thing to leave alone is the texture slider. 12GB is enough for 4K provided textures are not pushed to Ultra. If 4K at ultra everything is the goal, Aegis Three is the build for that, and we would rather point you there than oversell this one
- The chipset and VRAM are guaranteed: it will always be an RTX 5070 with 12GB. The AIB brand varies with availability, and we only use established manufacturers. See our Trusted brands page for more info
- 🧰 Case: Lian Li Vector V100R
Click or tap for deeper spec info
- Panoramic tempered glass across the front and side, with a raised display platform that lifts the build rather than hiding it
- Integrated RGB strip that ties into the fans and cooler for a single, coherent lighting scheme
- Supports graphics cards up to 420mm and CPU coolers up to 178mm tall, well clear of anything in this build and with room to grow
- The top mount takes up to a 360mm radiator, which is what makes the AIO upgrade straightforward later
- Alternative colourways are often available by request via live chat
- 🌬️ Case cooling: 4 × 120mm ARGB fans included with the case (3 side intake, 1 rear exhaust), plus 2 × 120mm on the AIO radiator
Click or tap for deeper spec info
- Three intake fans mounted on the side panel feed cool air directly onto the graphics card, with a rear exhaust pulling heat straight back out
- The AIO's two radiator fans sit in the top mount and exhaust upward, so CPU heat and GPU heat never compete for the same path
- Six fans in total, all tuned before dispatch. Airflow is verified through our standard stress testing rather than assumed
- ⚡ Power supply: Deepcool PL750D 750W 80+ Bronze
Click or tap for deeper spec info
- Includes a native 12V-2x6 PCIe 5.1 cable. That is the connector current and next-generation graphics cards use, so a future GPU upgrade needs no adaptor and no dongle: you plug the card straight in
- Cybenetics ETA Silver rated, an independent efficiency measurement taken across the full load range, which in practice is a more useful signal than the 80+ badge on its own
- ATX 3.1 certified, built to absorb the brief power spikes modern graphics cards produce rather than tripping over them
- 750W gives the RTX 5070 and 7800X3D comfortable headroom, with room for a step up in graphics card later
- An 850W 80+ Gold upgrade is available if you want higher efficiency and more headroom. See the upgrade options below
- Always from reputable, long-warranty brands. See our Trusted brands page
- 🔌 Cabling: Stock black cabling, neatly arranged
Click or tap for deeper spec info
- Visible runs finished cleanly. The rear chamber is kept tidy but not overtightened, which makes future upgrades easier
- Braided cable extensions in your choice of colour are available via the upgrade options
- 📶 WiFi / Bluetooth / Ethernet: Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3 and Gigabit Ethernet, included
Click or tap for deeper spec info
- Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 are built into the Gigabyte B650 Eagle AX. No separate adapter needed, and the aerial is supplied in the box
- Wi-Fi 6E adds the 6GHz band, which is usually far less congested than 2.4 and 5GHz if your router supports it
- Gigabit Ethernet for a wired connection, which we would still recommend for competitive play
- 🪟 Operating system: As chosen by you from the listing options below. Windows 11 Home (OEM) is recommended.
- 🧹 Setup and optimisation: PC36 High-Class Standard. Full stress test with certificate, bloat-free installation, and BIOS set up properly
Click or tap for deeper spec info
PC36 High-Class Standard, included free with every build
- Ready the moment you open the box. Your PC boots straight into Windows with a local account already set up. No account sign-in wall, no first-run questionnaire, no half-hour of setup before you can use the machine you just bought
- BIOS updated and configured properly: manual fan curves, PBO enabled, EXPO/XMP enabled, Secure Boot enabled
- Vanilla Windows 11 installation if you choose Windows, with no bloatware added by us, and all drivers loaded and ready to go
- Full stress test with certificate. Every system is torture tested on CPU, RAM and GPU before dispatch, and ships with the certificate to prove it
PC36 Premier Optimisation, available in the listing options
- CPU tuning to bring thermals and noise down with minimal performance loss, plus a deeper strip and debloat of Windows
- Worth it if you want the quietest, leanest possible machine and would rather we spent the hours on it than you did
PC36 Ultimate Performance Tune, available in the listing options
- Advanced overclocking: RAM tune, CPU tune and GPU overclock on top of everything in Premier
- There is real headroom here, and the 240mm AIO is already specified to support it. Worth considering if you want everything this hardware has, though the 7800X3D is a chip that arrives close to its ceiling. Ask us on live chat and we will tell you honestly what to expect
- 🛡️ Warranty: 3 years parts & labour (return to base)
Click or tap for deeper spec info
- Standard 3-year coverage included, parts and labour both
- Optional extended warranties in the listing options below
Why don't all parts list a brand and model?
Most of our spec is named exactly. The processor, motherboard, case, cooler and power supply are the models listed, every time.
For memory, storage and graphics cards we give a performance and quality guarantee instead of a model name. Supply on these three moves constantly, and pricing with it. Rather than list a part we might not be able to source next week, we commit to the specification: capacity, speed, timings, endurance class. And for graphics cards, we will always give you the chipset (e.g. RTX 5070) and VRAM (e.g. 12GB) that is listed.
We only use parts from established manufacturers. In practice the difference between two well-made components at the same specification is small enough that most people would never notice it.
If you'd like to know exactly what's going into your machine, ask before you order and we'll tell you. If you'd prefer a particular model, we can usually accommodate that, and you'd pay the difference in cost.
👁️ Transparency notes
- Product images are representative photos of a similar spec in the same style. Your PC will look similar but not identical. Our support team can help clarify anything you're unsure of.
- RGB heatspreaders on the RAM are not guaranteed unless the quick add-on is chosen - this is due to industry-wide supply constraints on memory
-
Memory, SSD and graphics card carry a specification guarantee rather than a fixed model (click or tap to read more)
Most parts are named models and will be what is delivered. RAM, SSD and graphics card instead carry a spec guarantee, because current market conditions make stock on those three very variable. This keeps us agile enough to offer good pricing and honest spec lists. If you want clarity on the precise models we will use, drop us a live chat on the day you're ready to purchase and we'll confirm it.
🛠️ Popular upgrade options
- Quick-add upgrades. This listing has a set of one-click upgrades chosen to fit this exact build, each one priced, in the Quick-add Upgrades section on this page. Memory, storage, optimisation, the anti-sag bracket and the extended warranty are in the build options instead. Anything not shown in either place, ask us on live chat and we will price it.

- Storage and RAM upgrades: available in the listing options below.
- PSU upgrade, 750W Bronze to 850W Gold: available in the listing options below.
Click or tap for more info
Worth it for higher efficiency, quieter operation, and extra headroom if you plan to move up to a more demanding graphics card down the line. The PL750D handles everything up to and including the 5070 Ti comfortably, so this is a future-proofing choice rather than a fix for anything.
- Braided cable extensions: available from the quick-add upgrades section.
Click or tap for more info
Worth it if you want the interior to match the build, since the V100R's panoramic glass leaves the cable runs on show from two angles. Choose your colours by leaving a note on your order or contacting us via live chat.
- AIO upgrade, 240mm to 360mm radiator: choose it from the quick-add upgrades, or speak with us via live chat.
Click or tap for more info
Worth it if the machine will sit close to you on a desk. The extra radiator area does not lower temperatures dramatically, but it lets the fans run slower for the same result, which is what you actually hear. At stock settings the 240mm is already sufficient for this chip.
- CPU upgrade to Ryzen 7 9800X3D: available from the quick-add upgrades section.
Click or tap for more info
A real but incremental step up. The 9800X3D is the faster chip, particularly at high refresh rates in CPU-bound titles, but the 7800X3D is close enough that the RTX 5070 will usually run out of headroom first. Worth it if you plan to upgrade the graphics card later and would rather have the CPU already waiting for it.
- GPU upgrade to Radeon RX 9070 XT or RTX 5070 Ti: choose it from the quick-add upgrades, or speak with us via live chat.
Click or tap for more info
Both are a meaningful step up, and both carry 16GB of VRAM, which is what changes the 4K conversation rather than raw speed alone. Worth it if 4K is the actual goal rather than a nice-to-have. Get in touch and we will help you choose between them based on the games you play.
