  Worth it if the machine will sit close to you on a desk. The extra radiator area does not lower temperatures dramatically, but it lets the fans run slower for the same result, which is what you actually hear. At stock settings the 240mm is already sufficient for this chip.

  A real but incremental step up. The 9800X3D is the faster chip, particularly at high refresh rates in CPU-bound titles, but the 7800X3D is close enough that the RTX 5070 will usually run out of headroom first.
