Battlefield 6 is here — and you don’t need a silly budget to enjoy it. Below are three PC builds focused on frames, responsiveness, and an easy upgrade path.

  • Budget ~£750
  • Mid-Range ~£1,300
  • High-End ~£1,800

Don’t worry about sourcing: at the end of each build you’ll find “Links to parts” — a tidy list with multiple options per component (in case something’s out of stock or overpriced) plus a quick price guide for what you should expect to pay. If you use our advice, please use the links provided in the article to buy your gear — it allows us to keep giving you 100% free PC building tips and tricks without a load of annoying banner ads and pop-ups.

Why all three builds use AM5 (Ryzen)

  • Best value & longevity: Affordable boards, mature DDR5 pricing, and a strong upgrade path.
  • Spend where it matters: A capable CPU, 32GB DDR5-6000 CL30, a sensible SSD, and the best GPU per pound.
  • Motherboard (standardised): Gigabyte B650 Gaming X AX V2 for all tiers — great features/thermals/price.
  • Avoid A620 & B840 (no PBO/Precision Boost Overdrive). They still work if money is ultra-tight, but expect slightly lower performance.

SSD primer: Choose PCIe 4.0 NVMe with DRAM (preferred) or HMB — think of these as a tiny “address book” so the SSD finds data faster (snappier installs, shader compilation, level loads). Avoid SSDs with pre-installed heatsinks—your motherboard already has full M.2 coverage, and removing third-party heatsinks is fiddly.

Budget Build — ~£750 (1080p high; 1440p medium-high with upscaling)
